My thoughts are that life, whether it began on Earth, elsewhere in space, or both, progressed from amino acids (Miller-Urey), to self-replicating proteins called prions (responsible for diseases such as mad cow and chronic wasting), to virus-like structures, to simple cells (there is an hypothesis that cells are

I'm genuinely curious about the purpose of the lightsaber hilt. On real swords, the hilt can be used to block or parry your opponents sword. Wouldn't an enemy lightsaber be able to cut through the metal part of the hilt that isn't made of energy? Or (assuming you have sturdy gloves/gauntlets), you can grab the blade,

It's interesting how the same people who are upset because they feel the relationship between Korra and Asami was rushed or fan service don't have anything to say about Varrick and Zhu Li going from overbearing/abusive boss and assistant to husband and wife.

Or a black man's. We are not petting zoos, goddammit!

Most likely that schtupping was less than consensual, as mythological schtuppings tend to go (http://www.salon.com/2014/12/21/why…). Still, Athena can't go after her fellow Olympian for defiling her priestess in her own temple. She needs to punish someone, and that unlucky someone is Medusa, hence the most extreme

I thought Doom was a ill, masked rapper.

As the old saying goes: Rap is something you do, hip-hop is something you live.
Four pillars: B-boying and B-girling, Tagging, Emceeing, and Deejaying

Kinda surprised Korra didn't take her bending away. Kuvira was essentially Ozai with better tech and motivations.

If it worked in Return of the Jedi why can't it work for Balance?

Arrgh, so many feels from this! The Legend of Korra is for reals finished, and that sucks, because they were just hitting their stride in seasons 3 and 4 and the seasons were too short anyway. We see Varrick and Zhu Li finally do the thing, and Korrasami is too legit to quit (plausible deniability my ass!), but what

But what will become of Vick the Dick? And Mrs. S?

There are hybrid systems were midwives are trained and recognized as nurses and can get patients admission into hospitals in the event something does go wrong before or during labor. I don't know the particulars of how payment and insurance coverage would work, but it seems like a system incorporating the best of both

Such a great, underrated show.

This scene was pretty reminiscent of the one between Zaheer and P'Li before P'Li got killed. I figured Bataar was going to die.

I agree. In ATLA, bending styles were distinct. Even if you took away the color palettes and the elemental effects in the animation, you could still tell who was bending what element. In LoK, everyone seems to use the same fighting style, with the only difference being what element comes out from each kick or punch.

I'm pretty sure the lyrics to Big Sean's "I Don't Fuk With You" are going through Kuvira's head in that last panel.

"Last season, actually, no one ever died, and we kind of lost a little bit of danger."

Brett Lives!

Look McDonalds, it doesn't matter what kinds of fancy toppings you put on your burgers if the burgers themselves aren't that good. Maybe use better quality beef. Or at least don't use patties so thin that all the juices get squeezed out when it cooks. Keep doing what you're doing with the fries and Egg McMuffins,

A ship that small couldn't possibly have a cloaking device...

And that it's on a logarithmic scale.
