Man, a team leader making the shortsighted decision to intentionally sabotage his employees’ situation for a slim chance at a small, ultimately meaningless reward? As an employee of G/O Media, I can’t relate to such a thing.

Pelicans come to mind.
The larger issue between the U.S. and China has absolutely nothing to do with the NBA.
What a surprise...I honestly thought he was going to come out flat tonight.
So I can play The Outer Worlds, on PC, without using Epic... and for only a dollar... Stab in the heart at Epic. Thank you.
Kudos to this article! I had no idea that A) This would launch on PC outside of Epic Store on Launch Day and B) It’s part of Game pass.
Honestly these game pass services have been the best. I’ve managed to try/complete most every game I didn’t want to pay full retail for this year for less than the cost of a single…
I’d be in favor of soft helmets for football, like they had a century ago. There is no reason for hard-helmets other than ‘it looks cool’—the human body is not as dense as a brick.
Because headgear does not help and may actually make things worse.
While there’s probably no way to make boxing or football safe, banning gloves from boxing and helmets from football would be a start. Both function more or less the same way-they lessen the danger of certain injuries (broken hands and skull fractures,…
Code Vein is what passes for a “Big Game” this fall, huh? Oof.
An advance? I understand smaller indies taking that deal, but wow, established devs and AAA publishers betting against themselves to the detriment of their customers is pretty sad.
TIL one of the biggest games on the planet, which has been out for 2 years and rakes in millions per day, does not have skill-based matchmaking or bots.
I fear they didn’t really do themselves any favors with that name.
Okay...but this is about performance--which is abysmal--not content.
I’m not a framerate snob—I’m fine with a few drops here and there and 30fps doesn’t bug me at all--but the state of Control on consoles is just unacceptable. On base consoles it turns into a damn powerpoint presentation, hanging around in the teens at some points.
I guess I’m glad to hear it, although I can't believe it shipped this way. This game is the first time I've become conscious of screen tearing, and I can think of at least two areas in Executive that turn combat into a particularly uninformative PowerPoint presentation
Right now, the team are looking at possible ways of improving console optimization in Control, but as you can hopefully understand, these things do take time and don’t happen at the press of a button (as much as we wish they did).
As someone else pointed out, 505 is the publisher on this one.
That would be why I at no point suggested that Remedy was responsible for any of these decisions.
I love Remedy but the combination of not releasing on the biggest PC storefront and an apparent choice to do zero marketing has me pretty concerned for them. I had literally forgotten it was coming out until a couple days ago.
Can’t wait!
