Thanks, offline mode. I wish I could play in my multi-player server and work on my tree city, but single player will have to do for now. As long as I can play at all I guess it's better than nothing.

@mean_mr_mustard: So it's not just me? Here's what happens to me: I get excited when there's a newer movie I want to see, then I see the Starz Play icon and I walk to the nearest RedBox.
@Arnheim: You are awesome, that is all.
@Arnheim: Backing up never worked for me because I can't see when he's about to attack. Continually walking clockwise around the upper level works better for me and feels safer. You just have to keep running when he is close to facing you. Dead in minutes every time, no damage taken.
More Demon's Souls. Inching closer to a platinum trophy every day. I have so many other games to finish but I just can't stop playing this.
@Scotsdale: That is definitely true for me. Gaming ends up being the thing that fills the end of my nights rather than the thing that defines them. It used to be I could spend every night of a week —or a whole weekend— gaming, now I'm happy if I can get 8 hours a week.
@KevanB: This was the greatest show that no one watched. I should either stop quoting it or force all my friends to watch it.
@Michael Dukakis: I quiver at the thought.
@resonance462: I went with the Temple Knight and was very pleased. They have great armor and pole weapons for good attack range. It's a very worthwhile game once you get a class you're comfortable with and play for a few hours. Good luck!
"Does playing violent video games lead to aggressive or violent behavior? Yes, and nearly as much as the other major indicator of youth violence: gang membership. Playing violent video games ranks almost as high as gang membership as the number one tell-tale sign among youth for a propensity to commit violence."
@Arnheim: The only time that I will drop out of a game is if it will actually benefit the team. If I'm playing team death match and I'm increasingly getting more deaths than kills, and I don't see that changing, I'll drop out so that the rest of the team still has a chance.
As much as I'd like to think this will primarily benefit non-gamers (mom buying a game for kids) I'm surprised at how many of my gamer friends don't really read anything about them online before buying. I had one friend who was surprised to find, after buying it, that Red Dead Redemption was an open world game.
@Jim.: I have a 24" monitor for my TV and my face is usually about 24 inches from the screen for playing shooters. If I'm playing a less intense game or doing something repetitive (farming in Demon's Souls) then I'll put my feet up and be about 48 inches from it.
@RockyRan: It's the most satisfyingly difficult game I've ever played and I can't stop coming back to it. I wish I could have picked it up for $20 bucks, but I would have been willing to spend $60 on it again if something happened to my copy.
