@color_guru: Definitely right about typing. I had an iPad for a while and it was impossible to type on. I guess I could see some people choosing this over a macbook, it just seems like a colossal waste of money to me.

This still doesn't explain why it exists. I'm a creative, I own a laptop because when I'm on the go and need to create, I need it done NOW. The Macbook Air has no place in Apple's lineup when you can buy a Macbook for the same price or an iPad for 1/2 the cost. I can't think of a single demographic that could use…
