I disagree. The courts need to be as free from political influence as possible. They can not have to watch their backs when they make correct, but unpopular decisions. Otherwise, decisions like Brown vs Board of Education would never occur if the court had to worry about public opinion and reelection.

Ginsburg is an 85-year old woman. That a lifetime appointment to one of the nine most powerful seats in the country’s judiciary rests on an 85-year old’s ability or desire to do her job in the twilight of her life is, in a word, insane.

I get it. I also know stupid shit like this went on well into the 70's. Gov Jerry Brown and Sen. Joe Biden actively refused entry of 500K Vietnamese refugees after Saigon fell and US forces evacuated. It took Ford’s office to threaten Jerry Brown on public television to make him relent.

It most certainly is.  However, let the court figure it out.  The petitioner does have the right to file the case regardless of how ridiculous the claim may be.

Not really. There are exceptions to job related battery (ie security guards, police, etc). It was the intern’s job to pass the mic around. Can it get testy sometimes? Sure. But it does not warrant accusing as Acosta laying a hand on the intern nor does it allow Acosta to monopolize the mic.

The video is real and unedited. It is the interpretation that is biased. There was brief physical contact and it was unintentional. It is simply how far each side wants to stretch the interpretation.

The video is not fake. Only the interpretation is biased. The intern attempted to take Acosta’s mic. He used his arm to block her arm at the elbow. They made contact. That is all.

Canada took in just 5,000 Jewish refugees between 1933 and 1945, compared to 70,000 accepted by Britain and 200,000 by the United States.

Both Acosta and the White House intern were doing their jobs. I lean slightly in favor of the intern here. Acosta asked his question and it was NBC’s Alexander’s turn to ask his question. Acosta kept monopolizing the time.

Price the MSRP high and let the market sort out the price.  Price too low and consumers devalue the item like the new Acura NSX.  Let the numbers of pre-orders decide.

Why do you people hate on delicious fruit that tastes like creamy custard? The next thing you taste-challenged savages will hate on are delicious paw paws.

Corruption comes in all party affiliations.  I am just happy to see some purging going on to remove incumbents and get some relatively less corrupt leaders into the legislatures.
