I’m confused. On the same day this occurred, The Boston Globe’s Jeff Jacoby says, “As MLK foresaw, racism in America has been largely overcome”. And he gets paid lots of money to write that, so he must be right. Right?

This 2011 video of Covington Catholic High students at a basketball game shows several students apparently wearing blackface. The racism runs deep and wide.

The people who should be in jail are the kids. That’s violence, plain and simple.  Anyone who has been in that position, of the elder, being jeered and ridiculed by a threatening white young mob, knows its violence.  They should be held accountable.  As for being kids?  There’s plenty of kids in jail, its just that…

YThis video has shaken me so badly. I’m sick to my stomach. The Archdiocese of Covington, which initially claimed not to know if they were students, is now apologizing.
