I hate that patent so much. Its got to be about the most generic thing going. So you can have buttons all over the controller and its all good, but the moment you veer over to the back you have to pay someone money for that. It’s such nonsense.

When they released the back buttons addon for the DS4 I thought it was to prep us for them being on the next controller. Why bother with all of that R&D so late in the lifecycle (less than a year away from PS5 launch) if you are not going to bring that tech forward?

This mostly makes me sad that there isn't a back button controller for the dual sense.

Here’s my angle. I work in IT, and have for decades. When I get home, I’m fucking sick of windows. It’s why I have consoles, and it’s why I want to use steam deck as a steambox. I want to go to my Happy Place (TM)(R) and tune reality out.
