There’s hints of stealth more in line with Sekiro as well. I imagine they want to push you around to have more options gameplay-wise outside of the boss fights - those are usually the main pull, so it makes sense for them to expand your abilities outside of them, particularly if it’s open world.

I think the main differences from the main Dark Souls games are the open world and the horse, but I mean its still likely going to be very much a souls game.

In retrospect, it was pretty weird that the Souls games had so many knights, and so few horses.

They’re still very different schools of level design. When paths through the zone are limited, encounters can be designed accordingly, which in turn informs the pacing, difficulty curve and atmosphere. It’s the difference between a directed experience, and a collection of vignettes.

1) You could’ve told me this was a Dark Souls game completely without GRRM’s involvement, and nothing in the trailer would’ve seemed out of place.

You can’t trick me. This some Dark Souls-ass Dark Souls.

So I had to wait 6 months to play it (waiting for it to go on sale as I do every game), and managed to avoid most spoilers. But with the all the hoo ha around it, truly I thought that Abby was a trans character, its the only thing that made sense. I was actually intrigued to play a game from the perspective of a trans

I saw GTA, GTA V in particular as a solid critique by way of satire of manhood in general. The three protagonists being everywhere on this sort of spectrum of male ideals. To that end i think it does a fantastic job, as each “protagonist” is is to some extent a male fantasy, that is then also hindered by the common

That’s an extremely black and white view.

A good chunk of the story is in the items

It’s Dark Souls, a good chunk of the story is in the DLCs.

Lately I’ve been playing more stuff I can pick up and put down at a leisurely pace, most of the time just dicking around. Like Skyrim, for the 1000th hour or something. This weekend I’ll give No Man’s Sky a shot for the first time since it launched. Seems very chill.

Downloaded Warhammer 40K Combat Cards on my phone last night for some reason. Probably because I was bored and it was at the forefront of my mind after the latest GW update. It’s... definitely a mobile game. I managed to cobble together something out of the “free” cards that trolls the shit out of people but still win

As much as I support keeping old games alive via emulation, especially for games that we all know are never going to see a rerelease, everything this guy in particular did seemed to be stupid decisions.

A+ Zack!

The funny thing? Apparently no one even asked.

All. Art. Is. Inherently. Political.

I don’t often save an article to my favorites, but when I do, they’re an absolute treat.

You could have just replied [INSERT POPULAR COMMENT STARTING WITH WELL ACTUALLY/I MEAN...]

Are you surprised though, Zack? They can’t even avoid [INSERT SCANDAL], their leadership clearly has no [INSERT STANDARDS].
