Yeah, I did everything the first time and then did everything again and you know what? I regret nothing. It was indeed a blast the second time!

Will this be the weekend I finally go back to Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen or pick up my Dark Souls 3 save? Who can say? At this point I’m really just killing time until the console version of Disco Elysium comes out, which is supposed to be sometime this month, but I haven’t seen a firm date yet so I’m not optimistic.
I just finished a replay of Control and it was worth it. Much quicker the second time. I will go back and do the DLC at some point, but not right away.

As per Alexandra’s honorable mentions, I think Artorias from the DLC of the first Dark Souls would have to be my #1. He’s a cool character with an interesting story and the fight is a fun one-on-one battle without a whole lot of extraneous BS. He’s very fast, and has an interesting/challenging moveset. It definitely to…
We haven’t got a firm release date for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut yet, have we? Everything I can find just says “March 2021" and I don’t see preorders available anywhere yet, which has got me thinking it might slip. My most anticipated game of the year is a game from 2019.
Yeah, after I wrote that I started to think that maybe there was one. But definitely not enough!!
The biggest failure of the expansions was not adding any more episodes of Threshold Kids.
Well, what started with me wanting to check out how Control: Ultimate Edition looks/runs on PS5 because it was free ended up with me playing through the entire base game over the past week or two. Definitely one of my favourite games of the past few years. It wasn’t nearly as hard as I remember from my first…
If it makes you feel better, 2017 was the first year that jumped to mind for me.
I’ve been getting way more into replaying Control than I was expecting. Just unlocked the ability to levitate, which is where things start to get really fun. The ray tracing in graphics mode is really cool, but the 60fps performance mode is way better for actually playing the game.
Happy birthday weekend!
I think the only game me & my GF have played together so far is Untitled Goose Game, and it went okay. I had played through it recently and remembered how to solve most of the tasks, so we missed out on some of the fun trial & error, which she was disappointed about. But overall it was fine.
Totally agree. My first character especially was a complete jack of all trades, but it’s really fun having the flexibility to do that. It lets you get a lot out of a single playthrough. I’ve done many that are hyper-focused since then, but it’s nice that nothing gets walled-off even in that case.
Again, our gaming trajectories align! Skyrim is really the game that brought me back to gaming and I loved it so much I was sure I’d love Oblivion too. But then I played it and as soon as I leveled up for the first time, I quit. There was just... too much. Too many options, none of them well explained, and,…
You nailed it: all those question marks are what made me put down the game for 2 years. I burned myself out on those little sidequests. It’s okay to skip them! I’m glad I did eventually go back & finish the game though. Blood & Wine was also an excellent expansion.
Finally finished the main campaign of Hitman 3 last night. I basically did each level to 20/20 mastery before moving on to the next, so it took a while. The last two levels are definitely more constrained than what you’re usually given, but overall I really loved it. Will probably mess around with some escalations and…
I didn’t think I could like Lance Reddick more, but here we are...
I really fell in love with this trilogy with Hitman 2, as I never played any of the older games. I’ve really noticed that I’m just a lot better at the game now that I’m playing Hitman 3 — I can figure out how to pull off most of the challenges myself and is thrilling when when you plan something out and manage to…
It appears that the number of people working on the game is roughly equal to the number of people still playing it: 30
