I guess Demon’s Souls if I have to pick something. I am not terribly jazzed about anything coming up. I mostly ordered a PS5 because it will be nice to have one nice new thing in 2020.

I’ve been driving an ‘04 Mazda 3 since 2008. Great little car. Almost completely trouble-free, but I did test drive a 2014 model recently and the interior definitely has a weirdly small feeling to it, even though it was reasonably spacious.
Yes, you remember correctly. I recall being quite irritated at the time. I haven’t used it much since I stopped playing Destiny, but this seems like a smart change.
“Your Head A Splode” is still a line I use far more frequently than anyone really should...
Goddamn, that sentence literally sent me scrambling to the PS Store to check. I didn’t think there was any way I’d miss that release, but...
But they already delayed from April to September to November, so there is obviously some flexibility in that system. We already aren’t dealing with firm dates here. Are you always going to make estimates of your delivery/manufacturing date? Of course, but I don’t see the need to publicly announce a release date a year…
I doubt you’ll see more exclusivity as a result - the potential XBox market will still be large - but I do think it’s gonna drag down mulitplatform next-gen games to a degree. Or at least make them way more costly to develop. That added cost has to get passed on to consumers somehow eventually...
The game went gold earlier this month, which means they have over two months to print discs. It’s entirely possible to negotiate all of those agreements without firm dates. It’s not like there won’t be benchmarks along the way in the development process that you can tie the timing of these things to, and you’re still…
The front door of Ari’s cabinet is open (you can see it at the bottom of the photo; it seems to swing down, which is weird). I agree with you generally, but hiding cables is less critical when their behind closed doors 99% of the time.
Finally managed to finish a game of A Way Out that me and a buddy started a few months ago on Friday night. He’s got two kids, so finding time is difficult for him and I think single-player games just fit better. Anyway, it was a good game! Fun twist at the end too. Didn’t see it coming at all.
Blood and Wine is probably my favorite part of the entire game. Toussaint is just such a huge change in tone from the dreary mood (and color palette) of the main game. The main story is fine, but some of the side stuff is very good.
I beat that boss last night. I wonder if I used the “right” ammo? I have no idea. I mostly just kited him as I dodged around the arena for what seemed like an eternity, taking the occasional melee swipe when the opportunity presented itself.
Yeah, it’s probably gonna happen at some point. I’ll give it a bit more time, but so far the combat isn’t engaging enough that I’d feel bad about bumping it down.
Wait, use them? I’ve been knocking stuff off, but maybe I haven’t encountered something I can use...
More Horizon Zero Dawn for me. Still not loving the combat, but everything else about the game is good. I think the bigger enemies have maybe a bit more health than I’d like, or more than I’d expect for just run-of-the-mill, non-boss enemies. I guess I could bump the difficulty down, but I also realized I haven’t been…
It’s possible to love both synth-pop and metal! I’m living proof. They both have their place.
Hey, finally a game soundtrack I know!!
Considering all the “big” games on that list, I’m shocked how few I’m even remotely interested in. And even the ones I am most into (Demon’s Souls and Cyberpunk) I’m probably lukewarm on at best. I’ll probably pick up DS just to have an actual bona fide PS5 game at launch, but otherwise...
Off Topic: Still working through Horizon Zero Dawn. My gf has been watching a lot of trash TV lately. Along with the shorter days & cooler weather meaning I’m not on my bike so much, I’ve actually had quite a lot of time to play games the past couple of weeks. A nice change. But I feel like I haven’t figured out the…
Yeah, I took a two-year break right in the middle of The Witcher 3, largely because it started feeling like a chore. I enjoyed the story, but it started to get pretty convoluted and I honestly wasn’t sure why I was doing what I was doing at several points. I also think part of it is just that you’re so…
