Bethesda fix bug? Never!
Bethesda fix bug? Never!
That’s what I assume. A timed exclusive release is still possible though. Wouldn’t suck quite as bad, but would still suck.
The “first” part of this resonates with me. I am in no rush, but I could see owning both of these consoles eventually. As much as I’d probably rather get a PC than an XBox, the relatively low price & convenience of consoles is appealing.
Yeah, you’re right. I think TES is pretty safe, considering it’s such a huge franchise. Microsoft are also (probably) not stupid and will have seen the crazy lifecycle that Skyrim has had by releasing on every gadget with a screen and some form of input capability over the last decade (also Alexa, which I guess…
As a PS owner, I do not want to even consider the possibility of the next Elder Scrolls game being XBox exclusive. That would seriously suck.
Hollow Knight is one of those games that I’ll drop in to endorse any time it’s mentioned. The art, as you said, is beautiful, the music is fantastic, the gameplay is tight & challenging... just a wonderful game all around.
This is 2020. I am fully expecting the worst Sharknado season on record, unfortunately.
That is super frustrating and shady as hell. I wish there were a reasonable way to hold retailers that pull that crap accountable.
I keep buying games when I see a decent sale, which is counterproductive when my big goal for 2020 was clearing out some of my backlog. But The Outer Wilds is one I’ve really wanted to play for a long time, although for some reason I stubbornly refused to pay full price for it. So I finally picked it up on sale this…
Hope the forecast pans out! It’s still smoky as hell up here, too. We’re supposed to get some rain today and tomorrow, which might help clear some of it up. If we’re lucky it’ll dump a little rain on the fires in Washington, too. I’m ready for this to be over...
Filling up bookshelves and other home-organization tasks in Skyrim are very satisfying to me. I wish there were a few more options for the actual configuration of the houses, but I love the minutiae of getting everything set up exactly how I want it. All my ore (organized by type, obvs.) in the basement by the smithy,…
The fact that it doesn’t have to end is kinda what makes it great, IMO. You can just drop in and spend an hour placing stuff around your house (only to have it all end up on the floor again as soon as you leave/re-enter) and who cares?
I don’t totally disagree with you. But my problem with Epic’s argument is that it ends up with a vague and arbitrary decision from the courts. Nobody is making the argument that Apple can’t charge something for app sales or transactions that go through its storefront. What Epic is saying that Apple’s current 30% is…
Whatever my feelings about these “walled gardens” might be in general, I find Apple’s arguments more compelling overall. They invested substantial time/money in constructing their app store and set clear rules for it, which Epic agreed to abide by until they didn’t. I don’t think it matters whether those rules are…
Part of the bummer about this being the daily “how’s it going?” thread is that I’m always at the office and can’t check out the music! It’s like window shopping in a candy store...
Is it “enough?” No, absolutely not. It seems to me like this generation shouldn’t be launching with anything less than 1TB and even that is probably too small for most gamers. But is it manageable with an external drive? Definitely. The fact that you have to spend the extra money for an external drive is frustrating,…
Capitalism.
I didn’t even know I could do that. Awesome.
I am sad to see this thread go, though I was kind of expecting it after it became spotty in the past couple of weeks. It’s been therapeutic and quite fun to get to know some fellow Kotaku readers, insofar as that’s possible in this kind of forum. Thanks to Riley and Mike and all of you. I’m not going anywhere, so I’m…
Hoping to get back into Dragon’s Dogma this weekend, but I’ve been saying that for the past couple of weeks. When I’ve actually found time to play something, I’ve been picking away at Lonely Mountains: Downhill. I’m not sure if it’s the gameplay or just some lizard brain part of me that needs to play until I’ve…
