I will just pop in to say - as I do every time it is mentioned - that these latest Hitman games are wonderful and it’s a crime that they weren’t more popular.

Absolutely, but at least in my case the fact that I owned the game meant I had better map knowledge and could gather WAY more information from a quick look at someone else’s screen. It was highly asymmetrical.
Maybe I’m just old, but I really miss local multiplayer. I’ve actually moved away from FPSs since it stopped being included in most games. My place was often where we’d all gather to watch sports and hang out, so usually after the game ended (and if we didn’t want to go out) controllers would get passed around and…
I always thought this was an ingenious solution.
While I’m almost certainly going to buy a PS5 (I’m already in the PS ecosystem, as are most of my friends, and I also just think the PS5 is a more interesting console with what they’re doing with the solid state drive), if Microsoft offers similar financing options in Canada I could totally see ending up with both…
As Ash said:
Even still that’s close to 0% interest on two years of financing. That’s a screaming good deal. I have a PS4 & a Switch and will almost definitely upgrade both consoles when PS5/Switch “Pro” arrive, but at that price I might get a Series X too, even just for Game Pass.
I don’t care too much about the 4k visual upgrade, although I guess it will be nice on the one 4k TV we have in the house, but if there is a little more horsepower to improve performance, I’m 100% in. I don’t even need 60fps on everything, just a bit more stability. The occasional stutters and framerate drops in…
I was definitely not ready for the weekend to end yet. I went for a stupid long bike ride on Saturday (267km & just over 9 hours moving time), which was really fun. Spent Sunday recovering from that (and eating. So much eating), hung out with my sister & her kids for the afternoon and finished the Control DLC in the…
I have had some of those Ikea chairs for my dining room chairs for a while and the exact same thing happened to them. One of them was particularly bad and every time we would have this one couple over for dinner, the husband/my friend, who is like 240lbs. or so, would invariably get the rickety chair that could…
I think my playtime to finish Hollow Knight (to 112% completion, which is for some reason all of the main stuff but skipping some of the extra boss fights) was something like 80+ hours. So yeah, you’ve got some time to hone your skills...
I have fond memories of THPS from back in the days when one of my roommates had an original Playstation. I don’t even remember specifically which game in the series it was, but I remember loving it. So while I’m tempted to pick up these remasters, I don’t see any way I’m gonna find time to play them. That said, it…
Yeah, I saw that option to replay the Ashtray Maze. That’s a great addition. I actually had a lot of fun with the Shum combat encounter thing that I did. It was a good way to get into the flow of combat in the game.
I haven’t found one yet. I’m pretty sure I’ve been finding everything along the way, but I’m not quite done yet, so there’s still hope.
Truth. This is what happened to me when I tried to clear every “?” on the map on all the little islands around Skellige. It was over two years before I finally went back to finish the game.
I think I’m right at the end of the Control DLC, so I will probably finish that up tonight. After that I should get back to Dragon’s Dogma, which I put down over two months ago now. May also play a bit more Lonely Mountains: Downhill and Fall Guys if there’s time. I still have a few other Switch games I bought on sale…
I am looking forward to listening to the rest of that song and watching the video later. I only vaguely recognize the song, but the small bit I watched improved my mood noticeably. Maybe lunchtime when I can close my office door & turn it up.
Man, I can relate to the situation where you’re twiddling your thumbs, waiting for feedback/action from clients/customers and then ALL OF IT COMES AT ONCE AND I SUDDENLY HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO DO AND AAAAAAHHH!!! It’s great. Occasionally, I can delegate a lot of that work and it isn’t too bad, but sometimes it’s all…
The weight is definitely a big part of it. I like it too, but just can’t do it in the summer.
August is generally my favorite month and fall means rain around here, so I’m always a bit sad when it ends. BUT +1 on the cooler nights to finally be able to sleep! I haven’t had more than about 12% of my body under the covers at night for three months and I’m ready for it. I would love to swap the down duvet on our…
