It’s supposed to warm up again later this week, so it seems like summer isn’t quite done with us yet. I’m okay with that. It hasn’t been a particularly warm summer to this point and I’m not eager for the rain to start.

I always thought that having what’s-his-face steal all your dragon souls was a pretty clever way to get you to engage with the main questline of that DLC. As you said, that cannot stand so you’d better get cracking.
RIP Ted from accounting, probably
You can stay neutral! Just like those guys in Futurama!!!
I have a hard time playing as anything other than a “good” character in games. I’ve tried and failed many times to RP an “evil” character. It’s partly me, but also I think that many games cast you as “the hero who saves humanity from some existential threat” which makes playing as an “evil” character seem somewhat…
I think Shield is through a side quest and is possible to miss entirely. Don’t. I’ve never used it much, but there are a couple of fights (one in particular in The Foundation DLC) where it’s almost a necessity.
I wouldn’t have believed that was a model if I hadn’t seen the video. That is incredible.
Haha. Yeah, we figured out pretty quickly that you can just aim at a really low angle every shot and give yourself a very good chance to do well, but as long as you don’t lean on that too hard, there’s still enough challenge for it to be fun.
I hadn’t really played a mobile game since Bejewelled 2 probably 10 years ago, but recently my 7-year old nephew introduced me & my girlfriend to Ballz. It’s very simple, but quite fun & fairly addictive. My GF is hooked. I’m trying to not get too sucked into it because I’m really trying to get at my backlog in 2020.…
This is all of Fall Guys for me...
I’ve been chipping away at Lonely Mountains: Downhill the past several nights and am starting to get into it. There’s a strange mix of frustration and satisfaction that it manages to pull off, and the environments and ambient sounds of nature are beautiful and quite soothing, which is nice. I’ve recently been thinking…
Your Hex-A-Gone skills >> my Hex-A-Gone skills
Same. Everything here is great.
I don’t go to many movies, but I absolutely cannot imagine sitting in a theatre right now. That just sounds insane. I can’t imagine risking my health to see a movie.
I can see being put off by the setting - the oldest house was pretty much the star of the main game, after all - but I did think the first expansion was worth playing. There were multiple astral plane sections that were cool and a few side missions that did interesting things. It’s probably not quite up to the level…
You’re absolutely right: portion control is huge, for health generally, and especially if you’re trying to drop weight. I gained a bunch of weight during law school and my first couple of years after and when I decided to do something about it, all I really did was cut down portion size and go for a 30-45 minute walk…
I also usually do a few gran fondos or organized century rides every summer. They’re good for motivation, fun and give me enough of the flavor of racing without actually, y’know, racing. I only really care about beating my own prior times, so there’s no real pressure. I would race, but it seems too dangerous. Those…
I commute by bike 2-4 times per week and try to go for longer rides on the way home at least a couple of those days, then I do longer rides on the weekend. So mostly “fun” rides, as long as you consider riding up mountains fun (I do for some reason). I’ve never raced, but the past few years I’ve been training like a…
We have one of those game-themed restaurants here. We’ve tried to go a couple of times but they’re always packed. Looks cool though. I’ve heard good things about the food & drinks. God, remember eating out? That was fun.
We’ve been doing Hello Fresh for a few months now. Originally, the idea was to get some recipes that we might use to expand our vegetarian options (my GF is trying to be mostly veggie. I don’t care much, but eating less meat is probably healthy so...), but we are both pretty busy so I think we’re just going to stick…
