With all due respect, the article you posted did not address hiring practices. When invited to volunteer, work or speak at a venue, the hiring body had far more leeway as to what is acceptable.

I’m sorry, but taking a stage and marching down a public street are not the same thing. One is by invitation, the other is by government permit.

No. Hateful, discriminatory and inflammatory speech is not protected and in fact is more likely to be illegal than cancelling a speaker. Minority students are not required to host this idiot and the university made extremely poor judgement by considering her offer.
