I am dead-set against coed spaces. Women have always used single-gender spaces to feel safe and get away from things bothering them. Gender-neutral is a bit different. I would hope that these stores offer a few options such as women’s only that welcome both trans women and non-binary folks, but exclude cis-gender men.

Well no, assuming it’s simply available as needed in India is ridiculous. What’s more, poor animal control (and ironically, poor vaccinations) means rabid dogs are much more prevalent. That’s valuable information and I sincerely appreciate that. If that’s really true, then restaurants can ditch the word “preference” and instead say “non-allergy”. The word preference is just plain inaccurate not to mention deeply insulting when I spent years being tested for cancer because I was so ill.
