The people that "do the speed limit" in the left lane are still violating the "Slower Traffic Keep Right" laws which many states have. For instance in California if you are going the speed limit but blocking someone who is speeding you can get a ticket.

Yeah? Well like that's your opinion man. I like it.

Isn't it scuttlebutt?

Pro-vaxxers ARE being rational when they are emotional about the welfare of their children. That's survival of the fittest at work for you. The stronger you defend your children, even if its irrational, means that they potentially are more likely to survive. Being selfish is a pro-survival trait.

To clarify my point, the disease would have to have an immediate (just a few generations) and lethal effect (preventing reproduction) for it to be weeded out completely. These diseases have already been around for thousands of years.

Well I am not disagreeing with the premise of the mohs scale just the way it was presented. Big fan of hard sci-fi myself.

Also the original argument does not factor in that the disease can mutate as well. If the disease were to kill off the susceptible then the disease would kill itself off leaving only the versions of the disease that could attack the non-susceptible.

Also such an argument presupposes that the disease is not going to mutate either.

So you are suggesting a "survival of the fittest" type mentality? You know that culling out genetic dispositions only works if the person dies before they reproduce? Just because we are talking about vaccinating children does not mean that these diseases only attack children. So its entirely possible to have a disease

"so you still want to continue to throw people under the bus, in order that you and your family can feel safe." Throw people under the bus so I can feel safe? No. Have people get vaccines so they can be safe and my family can be safe.

So looked at the Mohs Scale page and I don't agree with the examples it gives at all.

I am not being blase about it. If you know that you or your loved one has one of these problems by all means they should not get vaccinations. It would be awesome if someone could test beforehand to see if there would be an adverse reaction. I highly support this, but until genetic screening for vaccine problems is

Vaccination is whats best for everyones family unless you have a known issue, which is known before the vaccine is administered, with vaccinations and you are one of the small percentage of people who can't get vaccinated.

Because of inertia if the line were to break anywhere along it the counterweight and any line still attached to it would fly away from the earth (actually move in a straight line tangential to its orbit away from the earth). Perfectly safe. Think of it like swinging a weight attached to a swing around yourself.

No you are wrong. Because in this case the risk to the many and the few is the same as the risk to the individual. You are more likely to suffer from one of these diseases then to have a negative reaction to the vaccines as an individual. I am getting my baby vaccinated primarily because I don't want my baby to get

People are stopping vaccinating. Just not on average. It's come out recently that the trend is that you get pockets of higher than normal non-vaccinated children. Averaged across the whole nation this does not show up. There are places in Southern California where they have up to 17% of the children in certain
