The Gremlin benefited from being a cut-down Hornet, which was also a very clean, uncluttered design that luckily for cash-strapped American Motors, also aged very well.

Dodge Colt/Plymouth Champ/Mitsubishi Mirage

Pretty nifty huh? and the rear parcel shelf was big enough to hold these bitchin speakers.

I'm going with the chaos theory here. No same-colored body panels touch! How clean is that?

Alfasud sprint. It made a pretty hatchback even prettier.

Alfa 145 is a good choice.

AMC Gremlin.

"Yerrrrgggshhh... I am so constipated right now!"

poor little things looks exhausted

The Oshkosh HET (heavy equipment transporter), especially when hauling an Abrams tank!

"Look out, future coming through!"

"These aren't the rounds you are looking for."

I wasn't joking. This thing (whatever it is) is boring as hell next to the 500 and 500L. Those cars were doing exciting things, but this trucklet has the same panels, same windows, and same cladding, put together the same way as every other generic softroader.

Fiat was always going to be a niche player with the 500, like Mini with the Cooper, and after a slow launch it has been meeting sales expectations in the US and in some areas exceeding them. It's been roughly matching Mini's volume with half the models. Also worth noting that Mini has been at it for over a decade

This is something you won't understand till you actually drive a car with an old V8. Besides mountains of torque and that glorious sound that a 4 banger can't replicate, there's something about the way it feels that can't quite be explained in words. It's not about numbers, don't you know that?
