My hope is Trump knows his presidency is a lame duck one and just does the least amount of damage by going golfing all the time.
I’m sure all these people are very concerned about how this might damage their stolen cars.
Jimmy Kimmel summed it up neatly:
Adding a few thousand bucks to the price of two of the best-selling cars in America is surely an easy way to piss off the people that voted for you and your pledge to make America affordable once again.
First Gear: What Trump says and what he does are different things.
So we spend millions in tax dollars to build and maintain our roads, and now we spend more money to damage them on purpose.
Cleveland does get a proper winter. I’m surprised that road salt hasn’t already done this job naturally. Do they actually maintain their roads there? Here in MA, there aren’t many takeovers because the roads are just paid over horse paths from colonial times, and the roads that are big enough are like the surface of…

Hertz has rented cars they previously reported stolen leading to families face down on the pavement surrounded by dozens of cops, guns drawn, and trigger fingers just itching for a few days off.
“Hey fat boy, you go home. You be here four hour - eat all my eggroll..”
Hertz had a CarMax moment. They will be making adjustments to the language on their unlimited rentals this week.
“These look like a serious amount of fun per dollar in the electric motorcycle game.”
Why? They have their uses, and they are about the only way of moving large sums of money around with no fees attached in the US.
Agreed but I think in some situations they are preferred. Hell there are times even today where you have to FAX something rather than email it. Hell in my business we regularly get paper checks and cashiers checks for earnest money deposits.
90mph is speeding on literally every public road in this country. And on par with a Mercedes 240D in both acceleration and top speed, and you could probably have bought a brace of these for what one of those cost in the day. How fast do you need to go in a car that was entirely meant for cities? <shrug>
There’s a youtube channel i found awhile back that reenacted famous plane crashes in MSFS and then including the pilot communications, either in written or recorded form. Some really crazy stuff in there.
So interesting thing about this one - the ATC recording is already making the rounds of the interwebs. The tower had no idea about the crash until an airplane that had just gotten cleared to takeoff behind them advised the tower that they were stopping on the runway. The tower asked “why”, and they replied “there’s a…
I once had a local Uhaul rental that lasted about 6 hours (we were preparing to move and I drove a bunch of stuff to the charity shop a few blocks away from our house, total trip might have been 4 miles) that, when I returned, they wanted to charge me like $800 for mileage ($1/mile). I argued with them for 45 minutes…
Hertz Management: In our defense, we never thought anybody would take us up on the whole “unlimited” thing.
