I’m actually really curious to see where this movie is going. It looks like an “Ultraman gets his groove back” type of story.

Something I’d like to see is the classic library... not updated, not remastered per se, but... redone for 16x9 screens. I watch those movies just for the production design, and it’s a god damn endurance test. I don’t recall being as annoyed by a movie as I was by the first one. Nothing in the movie makes sense.

I’ve never heard of The Darkening before... it looks insane in all the right ways. There’s a bit of Farscape toughness, a bit of classic Red Dwarf cheapness, and a whole lot of “huh?” Definitely checking this out.
