Thank you for saying this. I’m a (mostly) lifelong resident of DC, and the “DC is a hellscape” narrative never seems to go away, despite all evidence to the contrary. It’s like all opinions were formed in the early eighties and there is no concept of growth or change.

That would worry me so much more...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Ohhhhh thanks for sending me down another twitter rabbit hole :)

The only light in all of this is reading the top Twitter replies to all of his tweets. They are magnificent. Response to “Easy D” has been no exception.

YEP! I had typhoid when I was living in east Africa (because I didn’t keep up to date on my shots; my own damn fault) so had all manner of horrific-ness. Chunks of hair fell out, fever and vomiting, dizzy spells, sleeping 14 hours a day...basically ruined my life and health for months.

I wish I had been paid for the three protests I went to this week in DC. That would’ve been great!

Jesus Christ.

What is our recourse against those that are refusing to comply with a federal court order??!!

I live in DC, so our power/representation is severely limited. Anyone have advice? I’ve been considering reaching out to our mayor’s office tomorrow, to tell them we absolutely support DC remaining a sanctuary city, but don’t know what else to do...

Oh no stop it hurts too much :(

This the only thing I can think.

That was the most beautiful mistake.

Nope—Richard Brody, entitled “The Empty Exertions of La La Land.” It gets worse from there.

I honestly feel like we saw a different movie than everyone else! What is this outpouring of love for a movie that was okay at best, and meaningless and boring at worst??

I saw “La La Land” about 24 hours ago and have steadily grown angrier/more irritated the more I think about it. It really made no sense, but not in a fun, whimsical way. More in a too many plot holes and bizarre character motivations way. And the songs were mostly boring.

The dream people are a skeptical bunch.

I have had multiple dreams where OUR ACTUAL REALITY is just a nightmare and I just laugh it off or tell people that I had the funniest dream that not only did this man win a primary (hahaha??) but that he won the general (LOL WHAT).

Twitter is going to destroy the world someday— and that someday seems like it’s fast approaching.
