As I read this on the metro home, my heart pounding as I felt validated by every word, I was leered at and lurched at by no less than two men during the ten minute commute.

No suggestions but wanted your post to be seen! :-)
She’s wonderful, and I know she’s right intellectually, but damn is it hard to accept emotionally. I’m on the anger stage of grief and have a bit of a ways to go ‘til acceptance.
Please please please share this! A lot of people don’t know about this. I myself just woke up to the New Balance connection just recently and would’ve liked to have known before I bought some new running shoes....
This just makes me wants to cry more.
I’m not convinced that a large group of his supporters are actual Democrats. There are also a lot of similarities between his positions and Trump’s.
Yep, I love the ageism of the millenial’s tweet. Screw those 40+ women; what a bunch of idiots. They don’t deserve a voice because they’re so old LOL!!!!
This is the kind of dress that one of my more fashion-forward friends would wear, and we would all blink a little and someone would offer a weak, “That’s a...nice dress,” and then we’d all nod fervently without making eye contact and then quickly change the subject.
Yeah, I agree. There’s a lot of emotional dishonesty going around here I think...everyone from Amy Schumer to the commenters here.
It is total vanity sizing.
I agree wholeheartedly. More people seem concerned about whether she is plus-sized or not— not about what “being plus-sized” means. There is an entire thread of people comparing their heights and weights. It is so sad.
Yes, I agree with you. It makes me crazy.
Yep, vanity sizing is real and annoying as fuck and disrespectful as fuck to women of all sizes.
His hand/wrist seems to move in a way that is inhuman, and I cannot stop watching it over and over, trying to figure it out...
You are not a jerk, you are looking at this from a place of experience and are trying to present a nuanced and reasonable argument, which is sometimes very hard for people to get.
Thanks, this is what I did! Don’t get the “Buying a $100 mass produced H&M dress is soooo much more ethical than a $1000 dress by a small designer” argument at all.
Thank you for weighing in! I get everyone being down on the “wedding industrial complex” (though seriously, what does that mean, beyond Say Yes to the Dress and the obvious??) but it also means people then don’t respect and then want to properly compensate those who are legitimately trying to make a living/do what…
This is nice but...he knows this is the only thing he’s going to win, right?!
yeah, but he’s also a liar. he’s known to hang out at this shitty tex mex place on capitol hill.
WHAT! DC has a fucking vibrant Happy Hour scene, with some fucking fantastic food....Fuck you, Ted, for implying that you just hole up in your little apartment/conservative dorm with a pathetic can of Campbell’s while you’re forced to spend time in the District. UGH.
