Democratically electing/removing judges was and is a horrible idea. I fear this will be used more frequently now.

What the heck is butter coffee and as an avid coffee drinker (16 oz a day, black with tiny splash of milk), do I need it in my life??? I’m always on the look for new fun coffee things that don’t involve tons of sugar.

I highly recommend “the brethren” if you haven’t read it. Suuuuuper fascinating inside look at the Court during Nixon.

Gotta love those kinja pile-ons when you make the smallest (and pretty irrelevant) mistake!!!

She filed a third party complaint.

This seems to be borne out by further evidence today as well. Goes way beyond a producer having to watch some raunchy stuff.

Yeah that’s what made me think of non-consensual acts, and even before I saw the Us report on a female cast member (unnamed as of right now) alerting them to sexual misconduct on set. It seems to follow.

Why would she file as a third party then? A lot of this (while details are still sketchy) hinges on that fact.

This is from an Us article:

This article is honestly kind of strangely written/unclear but the only thing I can think of (legally) is if this was not consensual...hence producer filing as third party. Though this is obviously speculation. Not a lot about this seems to make sense otherwise.

I have actually met Macron (a year or so ago, when he was “just” an ambitious minister meeting with USG leadership; I was staffing the meeting) and he is incredibbbbly handsome in person. Slightly on the short/slight side but made up for it in looks for sure!

Hahahs thank you! I’ve had some similar congrats from other lawyers (“oh god but WHY?!! Well if you must, congratulations!”)

Ok I accept! Silver lining!

I shared this last week, but I finally decided to go to law school, got a scholarship, committed to a school, and was pretty nerve-wracked about it. I haven’t told many people yet, just close family.

I so agree! This is an important point.

Same for me (sorority in my case)!

I know of a frat on my campus that was expelled and then allowed back on campus periodically. They were usually found with a bunch of date rape drugs and would get kicked off campus for a few years, have an “unofficial presence” (and wilder parties) for awhile, then be allowed back on campus and “misbehave” then get

I was in a sorority and I wholeheartedly agree.

I was in a sorority for about two and a half years before quitting in my senior year of college, and thinking about the kinds of things that were “normal” gives me shudders. Girls are different in that they’re usually not as violently cruel as boys, but some of the things that some sororities did was awful and

And the fucking animals drank Bud Light to celebrate. Eugghghhhg.
