I’ve seen it on IG before, but I’m not sure how widely used that saying really is. You know, in the real world.

I’m not even in the market for a $5k winter beater, but this rig just changed my mind!

Any big GM cush-mobile, but the Cadillac DTS especially. It’s just so comfortable, and while I’m not the target demographic (I daily a Mini GP), I completely understand the appeal of these land yachts.

It was universally praised by journalists who get them for two weeks with the sole intent of thrashing them on a track. The V6 1LE makes zero sense, like you said, you can get an SS for the same price, and if you want a track animal, why get a V6 Camaro? Just get a car designed as a sports-coupe from the outset.

Audi doesn’t sell the A8L in the U.S.”

Obviously I meant E36, but I’m sure you’d be able to use context clues to figure that out.

The E39? Overrated? It was judged superior in all it’s contemporary comparison tests, and it’s still revered today. Sure the dumpy US-market 240hp E46 M3 is overrated, but that’s another article.

I remember these being more reliable than a 635CSi or an XJ-S. It could get you to the center of Oxford without its wipers packing up, too!

You could also be really weird and order your E60 545i or E46 325i Wagon with an SMG.

I love an anecdote, but please show me *FOUR* CTS-V’s that you could buy for one 5-year old 911. And I’m being fair; just four crappy Caddy Vs for one crappy 2016 911 Targa 4S.

34 here, and when I first got into cars the fried egg 996 was just introduced, along with its twin, the Boxster. I had no idea why the 911 was so coveted.

Or—and hear me out—they could’ve started investing in PHEV technology two years prior, knowing that’s where the market was heading, so they could introduce their unnecessary Wagoneers with modern powertrain tech.

“This is coming.”

Just because you can afford to fill the Grand Wagoneers tank to do a V6 Explorers job doesn’t mean you have/need to. It’s called cognitive dissonance, I know that’s a lot of syllables for a southern inbred to try to sound out all at once.

I’m gonna throw Stellantis into this mess, because why not?

.

The Encore GX is overrated? I wasn’t aware it was even rated.

Being from MA, and knowing that it’s got one of those 5 digit plates, and knowing where it’s lived it’s life, it’s been looked after, and I’m sure this is a ND example.

I mean, you could do that with any two cars at the opposite end of the generation game. The Accord was new that model year, and the Century (which wasn’t an Accord competitor) was a dozen years old.

I’m convinced the GLE580 doesn’t exist. I haven’t seen a single one in the past 2 years this generation’s been on sale.
