IMO, the problem lies in the American ethos that values only what's useful and financially profitable. Intangible goods, like culture and leading a reflective life, are therefore of no interest.

Doh! I think that I do have a WiFi USB nub somewhere. Thanks!

Well, I had a 5-yearold laptop die on me just a month ago. Its wireless card started to croak, then I borrowed one at work and, when I tried it, the BIOS refused to boot with a message about an unrecognized card. IOW, the BIOS was locked expecting an OEM card. Finally, even the wired LAN port stopped working. And

Sure, no punches, just throwing him on the ground and getting him unconscious. No brutality here.

Look, the car was already moving when the cop got in front of it. IOW, the copper framed the driver.

Well, I for one pray the Rosary while driving. Between each commute in a day, I pray the full Rosary. It helps me to keep my thoughts on heavenly things and to not seek revenge on that moronic SUV driver who cut me off. I've been doing this for so many years that I feel weird when I have to drive later in the day

4th: You know what it means, right? That means no Alfas for us yet again. :-P

5th: very few places in India are air-conditioned.

It comforts me to have contributed to the demise of one of the crappiest car magazines in the world, for I haven't read an American one in years. Too bad that R&T was actually almost passable with wealth of technical details, unlike its parent car magazine.

How about the standard-issue Buick with a turn-signal on for miles on end?

Obviously, you truly don't understand the argument. I suggest you read the first post in this thread and Mike's answer to it.

And I really think that the "Gearbox" section shouldinclude the engine and be called "Powertrain" and that "Brakes" should also include steering.

No, I don't know the options. However, I check both the Subaru and the Toyota out in dealers and their stickers had a long list of options that made me think that everything that can be seen is an option. So neither of them could be had for less than $28000 or $29000.

I think that it'd be important to disconsider the base-price and focus on the price-as-tested instead. Base-price is an utopian fiction in the Toybaru.
