Oh, New Englanders, so many of us thinking we can take on the sea without puking. I'm glad I'm one of the lucky ones who don't get seasick, though. I need to go on the Bar Harbor cruise again, now that I'm old enough to actually appreciate it. But, fuck if it isn't a long-ass drive, even from where I used to live.

Heh, when I was born, my sister picked me up over her head (she was 10) and I promptly puked on her face.

I've been on one of those boats - and worse, it was foggy! Fortunately I'm used to bumpy rides and took my seasickness tablets, but unfortunately, nobody else did. I ran sick bags for people who were too nauseated to get them for themselves...

I've been on one of those boats. When we docked and all staggered off covered in vomit, you could see all the waiting passengers look on in horror.

Deep sea fishing for me as a child. OMG, so much vomiting, followed by the dry heaves.

I went on one of the whale watches out of Bar Harbor when I was a little kid, I think seven or eight years old. Something similar happened on my trip, but I was one of the few who didn't get seasick (I thought it was like a fun roller coaster). Everyone else, though? Barfing. Barfing everywhere.

OK - I think I was on that same whale watch...amazing. I was lucky..on the way back things were calmer but the CIA employee guy we were talking to in the galley would periodically turn this weird green color and stop taking. My poor wife was face down on the table until we got off the boat. There were many disturbing

The part about you sister eating nachos cracked me up.

HAHAHA - I was on a ferry with my husband and we hit choppy waters for like an hour. Everyone was vomiting, including people at our table. He was eating a bacon sandwich he had packed himself for the ferry ride. It was ridiculous.

Obligatory

Oh! This reminds me of my third-most-disgusting experience ever, which was on a katamarani (catamoran? probably) boat going back from Tallinn, Estonia to Helsinki, Finland with two Finnish friends. They're apparently flat-bottomed boats, and this is a problem when the water is choppy. On the way to Tallinn, it was

How can she possibly eat nachos while everyone is puking in front of her?!

Hahaha, I used to work on a research vessel out of Bar Harbor and the whale watch crew would call us over the radio every day to give us a puke report. "FRIENDSHIP V TO INDIGO, COME IN INDIGO." "INDIGO" "90 PERCENT CHUM LEVELS TODAY, WATCH THE SWELLS IF YOU'RE HEADED TO THE ROCK. "ROGER THAT." Thanks for bringing back

I had a very similar experience while on a snorkeling boat in Hawaii. Out of about 50 passengers, I was somehow the only one (including my husband) who didn't experience any seasickness. I sat there drinking beer after beer while every single other person hurled, sometimes multiple times. Apparently this was a

Well the Cheesy Mom Answer that I could give you is that you'll love your hypothetical children so much that—while not making their grossness PLEASANT, obvs—it will make their grossness just different to you. But the Real Mom answer is that childbirth is such a disgusting horror show that it should harden you a bit

Did the mayor barf on his wife's tits?

That literally sounds like my worst nightmare. I have 2 babies, and while I would clean poo off the ceiling if I had to, when one of them barfs it's either my husband cleans up or I barf too. And NACHOS! Ugghh.

I won't lie. I immediately looked to see if they took the lesion off Kate's wrist. I can imagine them leaving the baby alone but being unable to resist "fixing" a woman.

I have a little sister who is bullied and it is heartbreaking....but what would also be heartbreaking is seeing her change from her sweet, compassionate, wears her heart on her sleeve self into some dime-a-dozen asshole. She is a shining beacon of hope that gives this misanthrope reason to not give up on this world.

I'm the daughter of someone who was bullied as a kid, and this kind of message really only creates entitlement to bully other people. There's that sense of "I sucked it up, so can you", "Don't be so sensitive, I've experienced worse." mentality that created a pretty hostile environment for me and my sister when we
