This one is so specific I can't hate on it. She wanted to get engaged and married in one fell swoop (arguably smarter than many months of engagement) and they had been together for five years. Sounds like a great guy who is in tune with his lucky lady :)

Meh whatever. Do your thing.

Nah man it's cool to have conversations but you're kind of dogging her about it. After the first time someone clarifies and you nitpick again you can't really defend it as just conversing. I am fully in support of conversations but if it had been me your posts were aimed at you would probably have gotten a "but y u

I think you and I are definitely on the same page. My boyfriend and I decided to go out to dinner to our favorite place specifically so he could propose there :D

Colored stones like rubies, emeralds, sapphires (which, did you know, actually are just rubies that are blue instead of red?) were classically much more valuable than diamonds. It is truly a product of modern marketing that diamonds are considered the most precious stone. Didn't Kate Middleton have a sapphire

Dude you do you, that commenter is a bit obsessed. You are allowed to feel and think whatever you want about your life and the things you do :)

You're spending an awful lot of time and words analyzing someone who pretty clearly is comfortable with how she feels on this matter. Might want to find a different outlet for your energy/frustrations as you're really grasping at straws at this point.

I wear mine the same way you wear yours these days. I know my husband likes seeing me wear it (I mean, he did give it to me in order to ask me to marry him and we are now very happily married) but I certainly never feel any pressure to do so!

I don't wear mine every day (I did when working but as an unemployed bum I never put on any jewelry and I don't sleep in my engagement ring). Not everyone feels pressured by it and it is still possible to have it represent your own love and feelings without being corrupted by what some assholes may think or do.

Family stone re-set in a ~$400 ring for the win! I am really glad I didn't have to ever think or worry about this stuff because I find the diamond culture and its effects on global commerce and political strife really horrible. Mine is like 80+ years old and is from a brooch or something. Bonus: it's cut deeper than

I got contacted by this group (or something very similar) one time as a 24-year old barely into my first year as a real professional in my field. I was like "umm sounds great!" until it became completely clear that they just want you to pay for literally nothing. Like, we will put your name on a list of other names

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

That shirt with the Bambi design is weirding me out. Also, this kid is going to be too big for all these outfits in like one week. That's how babies work, right?

She is given accounting smarts that women don’t have

I... love her hair. I currently have about 5 inches of my boob-length dark brown hair blondified but this honestly kind of makes me want to consider going more blond like she is. Am I crazy? Does this look like terrible roots or a cool way to be blond without ruining your scalp?

Come on Doug, I really think it should have been

Because thousands and thousands of people are brainless idiot fans of Justin Bieber.

I wonder what Frankie Muniz thinks about when he watches Breaking Bad, or interviews with Bryan Cranston about Breaking Bad, or awards shows awarding awards to Breaking Bad.

There was a meme of "celebrities as everyday people" Photoshopping for awhile. I'm guessing this is a product of that meme. See more here (some are CRAY): http://imgur.com/a/cUZqI

It's like, what are you, from the '90s?
