It’s unfortunate that many unsavory people are counting Depp’s win as one for their own cause. Kyle Rittenhouse, in particular, disgusts me. But you shouldn’t automatically lump Johnny Depp in with them. Kind of like how Rick and Morty is a good show with a lot of terrible fans.

After Goodfellas, weirdly enough the appearance that I remember him the most for is the deservedly panned No Escape. He didn’t have much to work with plotwise in that one but made the most of what he did.

You forgot three important things... 1) if you’re in bear country carry bear spray. Even normal self-defense pepper spray will work but bear spray is designed to go out farther. I carry a big cannister when camping and regular pepper spray on my keychain. 2) know all the rules about hiking/camping/backpacking in bear…

Why is it that my replies don’t show up to anyone but me? Why are some greyed out and others readable? I’ve been a reader since the site began, and tho I don’t post a lot I would do more if I thought anyone would read them! Can you fix this?

The Hong Kong MTR makes a profit (like some of the Tokyo Private railways) because it is allowed to do Real Estate Capture - essentially build big shopping malls or housing above the lines and stations. It’s both revenue and demand creation, a great way of funding transit long term.

All I know about LA’s transit system is that they have flying buses. Awesome.
