The dynamic is thus: When killers are white, it is presumed they were good people, and their behavior defies expectation, and the stories about them reinforces this predisposition of expectation. When killers are black is meets expectations and the stories about them reinforces that expectation.

PC is kinda like the hot SO that lives 3 hours away-

You forgot when you buy a slightly older game, and your game is finally installed, and you think you can finally play it, only to wait while Steam installs DirectX 9 for the 11 billionth time.

Heh... times change, people remain the same.

You have to see it before anyone explains it to you, otherwise it would be spoiler territory. Let’s just say there’s a big plot twist that only works based on the location. You’ll understand why I can’t explain everything once you see it.

I think you put in more thought into Neo Yokio then the creators did...

Funny thing, as Canadian, I would have got the Japanese reference over the US Football one.

One final curry before I blast out of Japan, this one from Curry wa Nomimono (“Curry Is A Drink”). They’ll add three free toppings to your plate. I got potato salad, fried onions, and, because this is Japan, corn with mayonnaise. The result is like the garbage plate of curry, but incredibly good.

Is it weird that of all of these, the thing that bothers me most is that someone is dumb enough to ask why yoshi, a reptile, doesn’t have nipples?

Ok, well first of all, it isn’t. The idea that there won’t be any poor people in new york isn’t true. People being priced out of an area doesn’t mean that there won’t be public housing or busboys. Second, it’s a super weird reaction to admit something is harmful to the average person and be ok with it.

Have you been to japan? Not trying to snark. I visited a few years ago and there were far more convenience stores than “unusual” vending machines. Also, the convenience stores had a much wider selection, including home goods and even clothes.

All this to say, I agree that Japan is much more convenient than the US, but

The problem is that plenty of people can’t afford smart phones or to live in buildings that have those boxes. 15% of people using those boxes instead of bodegas could cause them to close, leaving 85% of people without options.
