Jesus, I’ve seen cosplay that looked more authentic than that.

I love most of the artists on the list, but I’ve gotta hand it to Araki for keeping it fresh. I talk up JoJo a lot (see: pretty much every day), but looking at the way his art progresses through the series and the way it was adapted onto the screen has been an absolute journey.
You must have read that erroneous headline on kotaku a while back. Now you are using that misinformation to blindly apply it everywhere you can. I mean you are an expert now.
You are absolutely fucking 100000000000% correct Luke.
That doesn’t mean the photographers don’t have a legitimate gripe.
Yes, how dare gamers ever see an article that is not directly related to gaming, how dare they have to scroll beyond an article you don’t want to read. More directly, I think it has to do with the fact that Evan has written on the experiences of being a black gamer before, and this is a very troubling time for black…
Jay Smooth has one of the best responses to Rachel Dolezal that I have seen. Worth a watch:
I love the original manga, I hope they can stay faithful to the story. More importantly after Ushio to Tora, the same author created Karakuri Circus, by far my favorite manga of all time. I am hoping Ushio to Tora would do well and they would anime Karakuri Circus.
YES. Calvin and Hobbes the anime series!
A kid one day finds a demon who has been trapped in his basement for centuries (the kid lives in a holy shrine, he is the son of the priest). The demon is trapped by a holy spear that stabbed him centuries ago and is still stuck in his chest. Since Ushio is not a complete moron he realizes that freeing the demon would…
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Also looking grim... Suikoden :(
Just caught this.
And imagine the 110th level of the shinra building, with all the blood smeared on the floors after the escape of Jenova. That, paired with the eerie music and the weird creatures in the random battles..if they go realistic, it will be resident evil. FF7 was indeed the darkest in the series despite the goofie stuff.
This is a pretty significant concern. Cloud was already a bit of a navel-gazing emo kid in the first iteration of the game (I agree that most of it didn’t take itself that seriously, but Cloud, Sephiroth, and Vincent were pretty grimdark even then). If they follow the Advent Children line—or worse, the type of…
Personally I felt FFVII on the PS1 was very dark. It had really bright colours and goofy moments like the hot tub/cross dressing but I always think about images like that impaled snake you showed or the implied threat of rape in Corneo’s mansion amongst other things.
One of the stretch goals was to produce a DVD with all the cut scenes from 1 & 2. Shenmue 2 did this for Xbox 1.
In the FAQ at the bottom of the Kickstarter page, it says that Shenmue 1 & 2 are owned by Sega and they have no control over those two properties.
Arg, that’s the saddest part. D:
I’m not sure what was cuter: the game he was presenting, or him for being almost adorably (but 100% understandably) nervous presenting it.
