Buona? The fuck you talking about ? That’s some johnny come lately chain restaurant nonsense. Go to any sandwich shop in the city and you’ll get a more authentic beef than that place.

This looks great, and I’mma let you finish, but Martha Stewart’s canadian bacon english muffin strata is the greatest Christmas morning breakfast of all time. ALL TIME.

Interesting name, but I’m not sure he’s actually on the J-man’s payroll.

No one has ever been more correct.

Most places here in Chicago have a contraption for it. Can buy one here. They are SUPER good! I’m extremely grateful for Jean’s tips here, cause I’d be way too intimidated to try something so out of my experience, and labor intensive, without good tips.

What is with the fucking grapes?? So gross and kept me out of chicken salad for decade because I didn’t realize some people made it without.

The wife whipped up some creamy turkey soup using stock that cooked for, like, three days after Thxgiving. Was PHENOMENAL.

Been fighting this battle my whole adult life, and the solution was in my pan drawer. I feel like a right dunce. You are, as always, the best.

Down a cup of coffee as fast as possible + 17 minute nap is my JAAAAAAAAAAAAM! Absolutely destroys mid-afternoon sleepsies. If I’m alone in my office, which I am frequently enough, I’ll just lean my chair back, put my feet up on my desk and knock it out right there. Car is fine too, if that’s the best you can do.

Oh, I actually have a different one. The OXO one does seem quite different. Mine’s more like a tea infuser, basket in a jar kind of thing. It does do the job quite well if you shake it up. I almost have trouble with the acidity of hot brewed coffee anymore.

I’ve got one and it’s quite nice to have. Make the night before, no straining in the morning. Just pour in your coffee, pour in your water, and you’re done. It seemed kind of useless to me too, before receiving it as an xmas present, but it has proved really nice to have.

On a wire rack, or right on the pan? My wife prefers on the pan. I could go either way.

Well there you go. Pretty popular item in fast-casual establishments. Perhaps if you don’t find yourself there you might not have run into them.

Am I missing something? Reuben egg rolls have been a thing for quite some time and are not exclusive to Detroit. I mean, good for her and I’m sure they’re delicious, but I don’t think she invented them or nothin’.

I miss hot mustard so, so, so much. I pretty much don’t eat McNuggets anymore cause it’s just an exercise in disappointment, thinking about how good it would be with some of that good, good hot mustard.

Former hotel restaurant bus boy here. This isn’t the case everywhere, I’m sure, but where I worked, we bus boys got to deliver room service and, other than a tiny payout from the waiters tips, that was the only tips we ever got.

Well, see, now you’ve gone and made food out of what was previously an ungodly abomination. Well done.

Oh gosh, I forgot all about those guys!! Funny as hell.
