Interesting comments. I appreciate your thoughts and wanted to share some observations.

8/10 - Solid whataboutism

Actually, the Cybertruck can induce the earth to spin backwards thus allowing us to go back in time and correct our mistakes. While watching Netflix on the dash screen.

Yikes.

Why wouldn’t it be straight? The amount of grip you can get with four offroad tires on cold pavement is orders of magnitude less than what it would take to bend a frame.

But they Cybertruck can pull near infinite mass, so you could just move the earth and leave the semi where it was

Why would the strap break?  It looks to be a Factor 55 kinetic recovery rope, made for running starts and using the stretch of the rope to assist in the pull.  I had a rope like this for years and it worked many times to pull me and other vehicles out of mud, sand, and snow.

The cops expect free service. They say unless you give us free service, this very horrible thing could happen.

Police continue to search for the BMW, described as white with a black bumper...

And if it was any agency but the cops involved, I might agree with you. However, the cops leveraging emotional blackmail in extreme cases is how they always start. They never met a slippery slope they didn’t want to rocket ski down. Tell me, do you think that after the emergency situation had been dealt with and

The internet tells me that Lake County’s police budget was $3.3million dollars last year. They could afford it. It is right and proper in a well ordered society that the police do pay for services, that they don’t extort them under threat of emotional blackmail, and if they think they are owed them automatically then

lol kindly tell me where you get the impression that Gordon Murray’s cars are “horribly unreliable”

I think his true genius is that he knows how a car should feel, outside of just how to engineer it. All the touch points, the exhaust sound, the steering feel, etc. He just understands intangibles in a way that others don’t.  It kind of helps to have a blank check I suppose.

I’m the farthest thing from a supercar fan, but I’ve never been as blown away by a car as I am by this one, and I just continue to be reminded of what an utter genius Gordon Murray is. How he and his team have been able to engineer something in 2023 that looks this good, has this much performance, weighs as little as

This is a systemic issue that is well documented elsewhere to great extent. The general consensus is that it isn’t that hard to develop car and bike infrastructure adjacent to each other... if you do so from the start. Stuff like protected turns and curb medians aren’t difficult, but if you have to install them after

Argreed. You should see how drivers freak out when a bicyclist legally takes the lane from them. How soon people forget the rules of the road.

Everyone else has been very cordial and diplomatic with their answer.

Hitting bicyclists with your vehicle is very, very different than a traffic stop.  Good to see that you have such great reading comprehension.  Maybe stop chewing your milk.

bro, the name of the website is literally at the top and in the link you posted, how did you spell it wrong?

Just an assumption here, for the other drivers in the past that got leeway, I am assuming they were all white? I have not looked into it, but this driver appears to not be white by his name, so that is probably why they were quick with charges that actually match the crime.
