I sent my dad a message today to let him know that Pokemon was 23 years old and that there were new games coming this year.
Sobble is best boi
I guess the difference between VJ3 and Mother 3 is that... Mother 3 already exists. And I know releasing it isn’t as simple as flipping on a switch, but it seems like a lot of the work’s been done for Nintendo at this point.
You’d think that, at some point, Nintendo would just put it out so we all finally shut the fuck up about it.
Friend and I played Monday night with this one person who was way more experienced than we are. We did a pretty good job avoiding people until we were one of a few groups left. My friend and I ended up getting ambushed and killed and we watched our teammate fend off an entire squad, get our tokens and go completely…
Oh yeah, for sure. And I wouldn’t blame them either lol
Honestly, I’m not even sure how it happened. Out of sheer luck and coincidence, we just happened to always be on the opposite side of the closing ring and managed to avoid running into anyone. When it was down to the final ring, we were all held up watching the two other groups fight each other— we saw that one group…
I very much like the “role” aspect of AL. I’m terrible when it comes to one-on-one firefights and definitely don’t contribute anything whenever I hop on Fortnite... so much so that my much younger cousins love to razz me whenever I play with them.
Man, I really wish those fall releases weren’t all coming out at/around the same time. Pokemon and Animal Crossing were my most anticipated games this year, and then they had to go and throw in DQXI and Link’s Awakening into the mix.
As soon as I saw Link on a boat though, you’d swear I had just won the lottery.
This is true. I was 10 when Pokemon blew up and fell out of love around 12, mostly because my peers made me feel like shit via, “that’s lame, I can’t believe you’re still into that” quips. It wasn’t until I graduated HS that I got back into it, from a nostalgic standpoint... and I haven’t stopped since.
Nostalgia’s a hell of a drug. Any time I pop in something classic, I’m instantly transported to a youthful simpler time.
I played a super intense match yesterday with two other friends— we got surrounded by two other groups and my friend and I ended up dying. Other friend grabbed our banners and booked it the hell out of there to a respawn point and it was nail-biting watching him try to sneak out without getting killed too.
I got really tired of BR games pretty quickly, but Apex Legends feels like a nice refresh of the genre. I played about an hours worth on Monday night and I can definitely say that each match was very different and unique.
Not gonna lie, sometimes I’d pull up the Wii Shop just to play this in the background. Sad day indeed.
Oh, the fake news story will be that they were actually two liberals pretending to be Trump-supporting MAGAs in order to give the right a bad name. Either that, or this never happened and it was all staged. You know, whatever fits the narrative best.
Yup, I discovered that too. Everything I bought two years ago was “expired.” Cool— thanks for letting me know that this was even an option.
Yeah same— found out I could register physical games one day by playing around. I suppose putting it in “options” makes sense, to some degree, but I didn’t even know I could do that prior. How very *Nintendo* of Nintendo.
