I mean, when it comes down to it, I still get a child-like sense of wonder even if the Pokemon isn’t the strongest in the design spectrum. Trubbish does make sense if you look at if from the perspective of Unova being based on New York City, and there are a lot of trash bags lying around— and if I’m okay with sentient

Some of my favorite designs are from later generations. Some of them are misses (see trash bag or ice cream cone), but I’m not always particularly fond of Gen 1 Pokemon outside of nostalgia (see: ball with face, eyeball magnet, a literal seal called Seel).

I’ve been watching the Great British Baking Show with my wife while playing. Now I’ll have to go back and rename all my pokemon.

Counterpoint— I really miss playing games with my dad. He used to be down for Sonic games whenever I’d ask but started to lose interest in video games once controllers got beyond a D-pad and a few buttons.

Time to throw money at that Squirrel Girl

I’m pretty excited for Friday. I wasn’t initially and hadn’t really planned to get this, but now I’m in the “hold me over until the next Pokemon mainline game” boat.

Most of these donuts look like they’ve seen some serious shit.

“This is the norm for kids. Instead of hanging out at the drive-in they’re all online.”

How does it compare with the other GameCube-style controller they released for Smash on Wii U?

It doesn’t make me relive my greatest and most heroic sleepovers. Instead it forces me to contend with how quickly those memories—those people—have become ghosts.

The Switch has been wonderful for this reason. Being able to play it handheld frees up a lot of time that I wouldn’t normally be able to dedicate to playing— it makes playing larger games way less daunting when you can sneak in a half hour here and there while doing other things instead of having to be locked in front

Yeah, same! I’ll occasionally dabble with my cousins (9 & 11) on PS4 and they’ll make fun of how I’m generic character and can’t play worth shit.

My wife can spend anywhere up to an hour, if not longer, applying makeup; the level of which depends on what she feels like doing that day. She gets her monthly Ipsy bags and enjoys seeing all the new things she can experiment with.

I mean, I know that’s what the lore says, but in actual practice, I haven’t had any problem catching them with ultra balls.

It’s also doesn’t help that the two words are synonyms and mean relatively the same thing. I’m pretty sure Pokedex entries have stated that X-Pokemon is “the stuff of legend” or “the stuff of myth” pretty interchangeably too.

Hey, if I can catch it in a pokeball, then it’s a Pokemon!

I’ve been using those terms interchangeably for 20 years then. Weird.

First mythical Pokemon to evolve; did they forget about Cosmogg?

My wallet weeps

I’m not sure how, but I need to get that Psyduck card into my possession.
