Oh I said I didn’t have much use for it... never said I wasn’t gonna buy it day one.

I can’t seem to wrap my head around the hatred and/or confusion this has gained. Nintendo was primarily a toy company pre-video game era and they’ve always had a very toy-like mentality with video games.
Watched the first two episodes with my wife and she was immediately distraught when she realized the pop idol intro was a joke and not at all what to expect from the show.
Yeah, I guess that’s what I mean— or that there are others in the surrounding area that, at the very least, have stock tailored more toward the area’s population. But uh, yeah, Vault of Midnight is overpriced as hell.
Geeze, I thought that said Best Buy Baby at first lol. I can’t imagine what the hell kinda store that’d be.
The ones closing in Michigan make sense. They’re all in areas where I can’t see a dedicated big box toy store doing well either due to the population density or the cultural identity of the city. Ann Arbor is a major college town with far more dedicated/specialized game and toy stores. I can’t imagine those two…
90's game prices explains why I rarely received a new game as a kid, and why the ones I did get, often weren’t that great.
Yeah, I suppose in the grand scheme of things, flipping the bird isn’t nearly as bad as the R&M sauce bullshit. I mean, that doesn’t make it okay, but it’s slightly better than property destruction.
Hey, I’m all about jumping outside my comfort zone, and I’m actually quite fond of surreal art. There’s just something about this type specific of aesthetic that makes me uncomfortable and almost queasy. Buuut, that doesn’t mean I haven’t watched the trailer a few times.
In retrospect, it really was a weird thing for us to collect/obsess over that it almost seems like a fever dream.
Yeah, I don’t think she realized that there was a game cart that came with it.
Wife and I watching the presentation while eating dinner:
The music absolutely doesn’t help. Usually I’m all for weird shit, but this just... crosses a line somewhere for me.
“Remember all that unsettling claymation from the early 90s that used to give you nightmares? Well, here it is again!”
Yes, it makes me feel uncomfortable and I’m not entirely sure why.
Man, I wish my dad would just take me out of life and tell me to play Overwatch for esports.
My non-Wii U owning friend was annoyed by all the ports to Switch and I’m like, why would Nintendo make a new DKCR game when they have a perfectly perfect one that no one played because they didn’t own the system?
I made the mistake of leaving an entire tiramisu open on my kitchen table unattended while I walked away for a minute. My wife was in the next room over. Neither of us heard or saw my terrier get on the table until half the cake was gone.
My other one peed in the bed about a month ago. It wasn’t deliberate, she just pees when she gets excited. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said, “No more dogs in the bed” only for them to be back on it a day later.
