As others have said, the replacement airbags can be hard to find. Subaru sent a letter saying they don’t have the parts, so don’t let anyone sit in the front seat of the vehicle.

I think a lot of SUVs don’t go above 6K. They don’t show the red line region and probably limit it at 6k rpms anyway.

If you are talking about the interior looking small, they are making all interiors more confined because smaller people have more injuries in side crash tests due to excess movement.

I thought the cat was the main restriction on exhaust systems nowadays? Since they are often positioned so close to the manifold, people rarely change them, and the cars are tuned to have a little back pressure. I don’t think many cars will benefit just from a new muffler.

I’m all for a no frills approach for a truck, but no airbags is just asking for trouble. My family used to buy totaled vehicles and fix them up to drive or flip. There is a lot less blood in the ones with airbags than the ones without...

Really, because British and German doctors do not use the public health service. They buy their own health insurance because the government sponsored plans do not provide the same level of coverage. I’ve worked with MDs from both countries, and they said no one who can afford coverage uses the government plan.
