If it’s so great then why is Delta so afraid? If it’s so great then workers won’t sign the cards and Delta wouldn’t be resorting to such lame tactics to scare its employees.

Yes, there are bad things about unions and good things about unions. The good things far outweigh the bad ones. 

How does that have anything to do with being part of a union? That just sounds like things that people talk about at work.

A new service filling in the void and not going the “independent contractor” route would be great. That doesn’t mean people can’t concurrently hold Uber and others accountable in the meantime. 

Maybe so, but (for better and for worse) that’s what it’s become now. Ridesharing companies advertise their service on the premise of having lots of available riders - they simply can’t be cheaper and more convenient than cabs without knowing damn well that a lot of their drivers do this full time.

Yeah maybe as a company , but ridesharing in general has benefit millions of people. Until another - better- company comes along, Uber and Lyft need to be put in check - not shut down.

People drove taxis as a job. Stop blaming the poor and start blaming corporations.

Side gigs still pay employees minimum wage.... So while I don’t fully understand your point, I just want to clarify that these people do indeed have a job, they drive for Uber. They would just like this job to be treated like almost every other job. Only an idiot wouldn’t get that.

If people didn’t do this full-time, the platform would die, full stop. Rides would cost far more and service would be slower (or nonexistent) pretty much everywhere.

Brilliant idea; It may attempt to run down crowds, but will break down before reaching them.

Remakes are nice and all, but I love it when systems are more backwards compatible and you don’t have to repurchase the same games again and again.

Merrie Melodies was such a huge influence on my life.  I hated reading this anecdote.

Reynolds is actually a mark against the movie for me and I still want to see it.

I’m going to see this because I know that 7 year old me in 1999 would have killed to see this movie. I just want it to make the Pokemon obsessed inner child that is trapped inside this deadened husk of a man happy.

I have a feeling they redesigned Sonic months ago after that marketing “leak” of the original design went viral and flopped hard. It’s quite possible that at that time the CGI for the trailer was already in the pipes, so they decided to release it so:
