“Until Nintendo and president Iwata make me a time machine I will not rest!”

It’s not, and your entire premise is false. War changed because those people wanted to go home, so it was fear that changed it. Fear that made them more apprehensive and not trusting, sure, but also fear that made them keep hiding and not risk anything.
The game however doesn’t let you die. There is no fear, it’s just

This makes me so sad. :/

“Damn your truce,” one grumpy middle aged man living with his parents said on the Battlefield 1 reddit. “I want my n00b harvest.”

False equivalence? My fucking brother turned into these kind of douchebags after constantly expressing his love of killing others in-game(mainly through Counterstrike), he said the same thing.

“Fuck that shit,” another said. “I bought a war game to kill people.”

To be fair those were men in those trenches and the people playing the game are a bunch of boys who are still wee behind the ears.

1914: Men in trenches fighting for their lives have a peaceful truce with their enemies

Over 60 years old here… relationships have come and gone, but at least I can say I’ve escaped the legal and financial consequences of marriage.

Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or just the general feeling of being alive, happy holidays to you

OUR FLYING CARS! If those doors could flap fast enough ...

Thank you! It was so loosely worded so that John in California who got in a fender bender with his TDI and never had it repaired would still be offered a settlement. Not so Joe in Cincinnati could strip every possible piece off the car (that by the way, was presumably on his car at the date of the settlement) and try

That is the problem I have with any of those “sticking it to the man” type of pranks and “protests” (which are really just mean spirited pranks, dressed up a bit) that target ordinary premises or front line workplaces. They just make life hard for front line staff who are probably already worked far beyond their pay

“How none of them thought to address this in the actual settlement document is beyond me, but now, two months after final approval, we’ve got an answer in the form of a hearing transcript.”

In stripping your TDI, you’re not getting back at the executives and engineers who deliberately deceived you. You’re just making life shitty for people way down the VW food chain who do the grunt work.

How none of them thought to address this in the actual settlement document is beyond me

The news post text mentions the controllers for the console shown in that picture were meant to be wireless - obviously this never happened. Just as well really, because compact, low-power digital radio tech such as we see in bluetooth devices and similar today simply didn’t exist back in the 1980s.

How many carts did you own with D-Pads and buttons built into them?

I’m going to go ahead and say it was a prototype?

Now playing

Oh yeah, talking about great soundtracks, how come there’s no Streets of Rage in the list?
