Those famous rich white women practicing trickle-down feminism are not your colleagues.

Honestly, you don't sound all that different to me than the people who shout down #BlackLivesMatter by saying it should be #AllLivesMatter. Black lives matter not at the expense of white lives, just the same way highlighting the plight of women of colour doesn't come at the expense of white women.

So, just so we're all clear on what's happening here, a feminist criticized feminism and echoed the #feminismisforwhitewomen sentiment, and the mostly white feminist comment section of a mostly white feminist website is overwhelmingly disagreeing with her for it. Got it.

Ehh, damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. Either she does what she needs to do to serve every photo (meaning, for example, not having a strikingly blonde woman be part of a South American family), or she has no photos featuring people of colour.

Did you think for a second that he might be joking?

As someone who lives in Atlanta, my favourite part of this tantrum was that it contained a pretty on-point takedown of Buckhead.

Shorter people are less advantaged in physical competitions. It is what it is.

Even with the fall, that was such an athletic move. Splits to near full extension, feet firmly planted on each wall. Incredible. Gymnasts are so fun to watch because their size/strength ratio allows them to do the most impressive things.

Never mind the fact that her size was actually an asset in certain obstacles.

FYI, if Canada disowned Toronto, the rest of the world would recognize Toronto as Canada and come up with a new name for the rest of it :)

A person knowingly or unknowingly led someone on in order to get their fuck on, then immediately backed off like, "hey, what's the big deal?"

The "why" is quite simple: Sex sells! It's used to sell everything.

Can someone explain to me just what's sexist, harmful, or disrespectful about the joke? I see nothing pejorative said about the woman who chose to have sex with him, about her choice to have an abortion, or about the implied ease with which that abortion was available to her.

They're both assholes, if you ask me.

An unwanted dick pic is a pretty shitty thing to do. Let there be no doubt that I feel this way.

Some of these were actually pretty funny. Even if they weren't, no he shouldn't quit twitter.

Exactly. She had every right to expect him to immediately cease being the man he's demonstrated he is!

I get your point and mostly agree, but I don't think it's trolling to wonder why it seems like kids are quicker to kill themselves than in previous generations. Are these stories just getting reported more? Does the nature of the shaming (ie., over social media) have an effect on victims' responses? These are fair

I don't really give a damn what most people are wearing most of the time. And I'm glad we have a system in place that enables people to continue living even if they've fallen on hard times, or worse, were never given an equal opportunity to succeed in that system in the first place.

For many people, these lessons about poverty are brand new, but it's simply because they're only listening now that they're coming from a formerly well-off white lady. Poor people have been saying this for a long time, only to have it fall on deaf ears.
