People exist independent of language and independent of however they may feel about gender. The political realities remain. Trying to eliminate gender from Spanish is unhelpful to everyone’s cause, including theirs.

Me too... I’ve got The Voice and I was blown away by how accurate this portrayal was. Occasionally mine vocalizes for real and I have to look around and see if anyone heard me do it. So far so good. I think.
