But he's not trying to buzz in as fast as possible. He's trying to buzz in as fast as possible once he's fairly certain he knows the answer. He can buzz in faster if he buzzes in before he even thinks about whether he knows the answer. And if he can get something like 70% of the answers right, then even if he keeps

Of course nothing came of it. There are different rules for the public and for wealthy corporations.

Wait, are we going to end up being owned by China, or are are going to end up just like China? And if China's model is the path to success, shouldn't we emulate that?

I fail to see how reducing government investment in business will help save america. This business went under because Chinese workers will work for pennies and they ciuldn't compete on price. If the US government was giving them subsidies, then maybe they'd have been able to stay in business.

SELF DRIVE!

I don't play a ton of games, so I can't rattle a bunch of names off the top of my head. And I'm not female, so I don't know what girls like. Even if I did though, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's hard to decide that a particular guy is handsome. But I've been told women like ruggedly handsome dudes,

You kiddin me? That guy gets all the chicks.

Solid Snake? You pick the guy with the mullet as one of the most attractive male leads, and you tell me I don't know what women like?

Because he's in France, not the US.

Why should they fill games with ugly female leads when they don't fill games with ugly male leads? You show me a game with a lead male protagonist who isn't buff and fairly handsome.

Black? Where do you get black from? Chell both looks asian, and has an asian sounding name.

I'm a member of a movie fan site who recently had the paypal account they use to sell merchandise and memberships shut down. Paypal wouldn't tell them why they account was closed, or allow them to appeal the decision, and all attempts to get in touch with a human bieng over the phone have been stymied.

It's been taking ten seconds to load the classic style page today. If this keeps up, I'm gonna have to find another gaming blog to read.

Not if they're stealing from someone they know, like their parents, and they know that the phone would be missed, but a few extra lattes on their credit card would go unnoticed.

As others have pointed out, a method very similar to this was already used in another game. And it would never be adopted by Microsoft or Sony, because that's not how games are developed. Microsoft and Sony don't tell game developers how to write the text entry interface in their games.

"Duke Nukem Forever is a tawdry, sometimes gratifying affair."

"I played a first person shooter, a genre designed for PC gaming, on a console, and selected the easiest difficulty setting. I didn't have much fun."

He wants investors. What game company does he think he is going to get to spend money on this? As a game developer, I would be insulted at being asked to pay to license whatever patent this guy expects to get on such a simple and obvious mechanic. I would rather implement a slightly more cumbersome scheme than pay

I agree.

@opticbit: I hate to tell you this, but there are thousands of educated engineers out there who can't find work, and it's not because they're too busy working in a checkout line.
