The video from far away shows a flash on the ground just before the object lifts off. The video from up close displays no flash.

I wonder if Apple is more legally repsonsible for what ius sold in their App store than other distributors like Download.com owing to the walled garden nature of their app store where all apps must be carefully approved before they can be sold. I mean they can't claim that they don't have the resources to review…

@conception: Also, the whole concept is ridiculous in the first place. Two tennis balls with what look like googly eyes that bobs and weaves? Give it some arms at least. And why would it need two cameras? One would be sufficient.

@conception: Yes, I saw the video of it after, but it's still not worth $30K. Four motors, two cameras, and a microphone? That's at most $500 in parts. Throw in another $500 for a laptop to control it, and some open source software for doing facial recognition, and you are nowhere near $30K.

@nhiggs: That's more sophisticated than I thought it was, but $30,000 is still way too much for a few servos a webcam, and some open source software for doing facial recognition.

It seems these artists are forgetting that Mega Man is a robot. As such, his face only looks human because the technology of the time permitted a realistic silicone analogue to me made.
