They may have done checkups and such, built new stuff along the way. But good point.

Why don't people in 2014 notice that there are hundreds of car crashes just outside of Wayward Pines, Idaho?

It was basically like "he's in" and then "I'm not sure if I want to do this" from the boss

It's based on a book, so the story is finite. With MNS's history, they probably did not count on this being very popular. It's possible they'll extend it in sequel/prequel ways, but I think they conceived of it as a miniseries.

When that guy buying a house spoke with Theresa, he mentioned that they did something to him. It's possible that just meant wake him up or do a memory wipey thing or something, but it's also possible some of whatever mutation thing was going on happened to the people in wayward. Maybe they'll become abbies, too, then

So, do we think Pilcher is the boss? Or is he being controlled by someone? (maybe an abbie)

I think Nurse Pam was on the other end of the phone, right? So the only people we need as staff are her and Pilcher.

I think it's 4028 and the abbies exist. My working theory is that Pilcher created the world outside and brought them in to have a perfectly controlled new humanity where nothing is "wrong," which is why reckonings happen (they also serve as population and resource control.) I'm not sure about the Pope thing, but maybe

He knew the future because he created it. I bet he wanted a cult-ish environment he could totally control. So he made the abbies and shut the rest of the world up with him.

Lots of white people in Wayward Pines. No college in Wayward Pines. No grocery store in Wayward Pines. No clothes for Theresa and Ethan in Wayward Pines. No non-English speakers in Wayward Pines. No people with disabilities in Wayward Pines. No nightlife, even movies, in Wayward Pines.

No, you mean after Ethan was frozen. Ethan was awake 2000 years after Theresa and Ben came to look for him. The catalyst for their freezing must have been Theresa's coming to look, not Ethan's anxiety, because Ethan was still frozen.

It's Pilcher. There's something weird going on with Pilcher, and the phones. Killing people is really unsustainable. These are adults, they need explanations. Putting a knife to throat is hard (not that I'd know.) You need deeper motivation to kill on a regular basis than rules.

She is fabulous. Although Juliette Lewis was great, too, and Charlie Tahan is pulling his own weight, even though his character is written like a comedian pretending to be himself as a teenager.

Maybe they'll kill off all the parents. They want the kids to feel superior enough they won't revolt, but they couldn't take care of a bunch of whiny babies so they brought in the parents for adjustment purposes. Kids aren't that bad though, right?

The abbies are real, right? Maybe they're just hallucinations. God, I hope not. That would be a real cop-out.

Is there more to the realtor, or is he just a creep?

NEW THEORY: This is all just an intentional mindfuck. Pilcher wants to see what he can make people do and believe. He's into human sacrifice, he likes controlling children, and he has the resources to make a whole town. Doesn't explain the abbies, though. But it's good for being less anxious until the next episode.

Only a couple people needed to know. Car crashes, remember?

It's not even a nice projector. Until 2095, they didn't come up with a better one?

He did mention "enlightenment" in the teaser.
