Also, it was never really clear if he actually did cheat on her or if he slept with the student before they were married, was it?

-The cursing on this show just makes me wish TGW had had it…. It improves EVERYTHING
-I hope this isn't the end for Kurt on this season. He seems like such a good guy.

Also Rose Leslie's American accent is not the awesomest

Kinda curious why they had Kresteva's kid die. WIll it come up again?

Yeah I liked her a lot better in her early episodes on TGW than now. She's gotten a little gimmicky

tbh though, I didn't really like her kids either

Didn't he get probation?

TGW had a real focus (especially in later seasons) on male/female workplace dynamics, but it barely touched on race, except for some weirdly apologetic season seven episodes. Hoping this show will reverse that, focusing on racial dynamics at work and maybe, because the new firm seems pretty gender-balanced and all the

There are a lot of parallels. "Alicia" is kind of split between Diane and Maia (Diane is being forced to work and has a wrecked personal life because of scandal and cheating husband, Maia is a public pariah and is new at the firm). Lucca is more of a "Diane" figure, Delroy Lindo is "Will."

I noticed that too. It was weird. Also, the credits must have been super fun to make.

Any guesses as to where Alicia is?

I'm a hardcore TGW fan, and so thrilled about the spinoff! It's different- I think a large component of this is that Alicia was married and had kids, so the show's perspective had more to do with law vs. personal life, as opposed to this one, which is very work-focused (even Diane's personal issues have to do with her

Why isn't Selina happy about Montez? It's effectively the same as if O'Brien had won (but Montez is getting off to a better start). She can still run in four years (I predict her vs. Tom) and if Tom had won, she couldn't, especially if she's his VP.

I think it's just repeating the (very funny) dementia joke. Or portending a very unsuccessful Montez presidency.

Also is Tom James not a Senator? I thought he was. If he's an ex-Senator why does he have an office wherever his office is?

What's weird is that Selina did seem to be a good president. Or at least better than VP. She made all those international deals and her failures were pretty quickly glossed over.

That's how it should work. In real life, Montez wouldn't be prez, she'd be VP and acting president

I thought Selina stole the documentary.

And honestly I loved them together. They were perfectly apathetic and tired together. No unease about work, no ethical nonsense, just two people who have a long history of hate but are stuck together enjoying each other's company. It's oddly adorable.

As a form of therapy, here's what I want to be the answer to all the loose ends. Feel free to add more.
Diane knew/didn't believe the story about Kurt's affair, they stay together and Diane continues at the firm. She was just mad at Alicia for tainting her professional life with the personal, not for
