It’s alzheimer’s...I am dead serious...he sounds 100% like my father...telling the same exact stories, using the same words, not making a lick of sense...add in the anger and you’ve got a dead ringer for what I saw every day years with him...

I don’t think he’s a lunatic. But he does sound like someone who is starting to deal with dementia. His comments never, ever seem to form into anything that could be construed as coherent in any way.

Everyone involved knows but just can’t outright say the deal was she gets to have as much power and stick her thumb in as many pies as she likes because she’s the only one who can handle her dad when he’s sundowning, right?

I fucking hate him and every single person who put him in office.

Because half of our country is comprised of sentient beings who care about others and the planet and the other half of our country is is comprised of unevolved, gun worshipping, women and minority hating, banjo plucking nitwits (their only redeeming quality is appreciating the lovely banjo instrument) who are

Cliff notes version:

This isn’t going to result in more deportations, which is what Donald’s supporters want, unless Congress pays a lot more money to deport people. Instead, it means that we’re going to be deporting people who are making lives in America rather than people who have actually committed serious crimes. Regardless of how

No they aren’t less than, and as liberals, we self sabotage when we start telling people you aren’t doing enough. It’s not enough for you to protest one issue unless you are out on the streets protesting every issue. You don’t have to explain yourself or justify yourself. You felt impassioned this weekend and that’s

You know why they called them the “Greatest Generation”? It’s because they killed Nazi’s. Not because they wrung their hands as to whether or not we should respect everybody’s opinions.

That’s because it’s not *always* wrong. It’s *almost* always wrong in *almost* everyone’s daily life. Violence is just a tool in the toolbox. One does not use a hammer to drive a screw, or a soldering iron to cook scrambled eggs. Violence is the tool of choice for dealing with Nazis and other such low forms of life,

But lying about it repeatedly, in person and via surrogate, puts the new president’s priorities and lack of perspective in context. He could have gone high and not addressed it at all, or he could have been petty but accurate and pointed out the enormous crowds he drew during his campaign. (He could even have said

I just dare any Republican to use the phrase “Family Values” ever again. May that expression finally drown in its own piss.

Why I am marching today (See you soon, NYC!):

He’s president. I hate it, you hate it. But at the end of the day, the inauguration isn’t about him, it’s about our Democratic ideals and our belief in the peaceful transition of power, even when it goes to people we disagree with or despise. So I stand with Barack Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and,

I agree with him on lowering drug prices, not on repealing the ACA or making Medicaid cuts. His intention may only be to cut costs, but lowering prices would help a lot of people who need prescription medication and have trouble affording it. It’s the right thing to do even if he’s not doing it because he cares about

I think this comes down more to local politics. Pharmaceuticals are a major industry in NJ, and I assume some of the other places where the nay votes came from. Sanders and Klobuchar are from states bordering Canada, is it possible they’d be making some sort of profit from the import over the border?

Also what isnt being mentioned is the fact that one of NJ’s biggest industries is... Pharma. We have something like 50 different small and large Pharma companies in the state. A bill like this would seriously damage NJs economy.

His incessant need to brag about how he and everything to do with him is just the best or “record-setting” or whatever is absolutely breathtaking. I can totally believe the most important thing in his mind right now is putting on a good show at the inauguration. Not, you know, solving any of the nation’s problems or

I know “a world like this” is dramatic, and things and my situation could be worse. Just my feelings.

I do want it said and again and again how this has nothing to do with conventional politics. Trump isn’t just wrong or bad (or even primarily wrong or bad) because he’s a Republican. He’s bad because he’s just a shitty human being who just so happens to have hijacked politics.
