It’s a class action, so the decision to settle, or not, would receive a lot of scrutiny because class counsel are representing the entire class of plaintiffs, most of whom are not before the court and who have to be treated fairly. No way he actually sues—he’s just trying to stop other women from coming forward. Given that he’s been taped saying he did exactly what these women said he did, his odds of prevailing are minute. And he would be opening up a landslide of discovery into his past.
