Headlight aiming was part of vehicle inspection and it still should be. If you want a vehicle with lights that are 5' off the ground that’s fine, but they should be pointed down so as not to blind other drivers.

In other words this is something that used to be highly regulated and deregulation made it worse for

There’s an indicator lamp on your instrument cluster for high beams.

Agree, most are not doing it on purpose so no need for retaliation. A quick flash will usually cause them to check. Not flashing them just leads to the same issue for the next driver. If no one flashes out of “politeness", that could be thousands!

Part of the problem, I think, is that regular headlights are getting too bright as well (and are sometimes misaligned). Like, I get that you’re a big bad truck and you want to be able to see everything from your throne up on high, but you really don’t need regular headlights that shine directly into the eyes of

The vast majority of people I see with their high beams on all the time are driving cars that are nowhere near new enough (or nice enough) to have auto high beams.

Close one eye, then you’ll still have night vision in that one eye after the car passes, but be aware that while able to see, until the other eye recovers, your depth perception will be borked for a couple minutes.

Now that modern cars have LED headlights this can be a problem as on some cars they are very bright. I wonder if the driver forgot he has his high beams on. Some cars have a safety feature called Automatic High Beams where they are supposed automatically turn off when it detects a car is coming, but sometimes it

I disagree that you should never flash your brights in response to another car’s brights. A quick flash can often clue the other driver in to the fact that they have their high beams on, prompting them to turn them down.

The problem is exacerbated by drivers who don’t seem to understand the rules around high beams.

My heart says: A fully mutated Guild Navigator. Just because I want to hear his twang coming out of a Guild Navigator’s mouth.

Fenrig is more likely but this is what I want.

Yup. Lea Seydoux is playing Margot Fenring but I can’t find any announcement about Hasimir at all.  If the Lady is in it, her husband probably is too.

“A killer with the manners of a rabbit” Yeah, that fits.

I literally took one look at that dude’s picture and said “Fenrig”.

I don’t usually comment here, but wanted to support this 100%. TBN has this devious, weasel-y quality that would be perfect for Fenring. Could be a flasback, but I see Villeneuve using this to flesh out some Harkonnen scenes. Particularly the one with Feyd-Rautha's gladiator fight.

The Obvious answer is Count Fenrig, and that is the educated geeks guess, but it could really be anything, it could be someone in the court, but if its a named character, the money is on Count Fenrig.

Neither are perfect but I enjoy both.

There’s a way to blend contemporary sensibilities with fantasy storytelling, but this is not it (at least there aren’t any rock tunes playing in the background during the episode).

Oscar Wilde would be impressed.

24 hours! It took him 24 hours to come up with that!
