I loved that parallel of both Ruby and Montrose rediscovering their true selves under the guises they put on. The difference between the things they think they want because the society makes them the right thing to want and what they really desire. And that for both of them land on the path to violence that they

Sorry, this got lost in my other replies so I only just noticed it.

I’m sure she would prefer literal. The bus wouldn’t stand a chance.

She was genderswapped from comics. I was refering to Stormfront’s age. The original comics character was created in Nazi Germany so he was old time racist and fascist. With TV Stormfront updates it looked like she was just a brand new alt-right avatar but it’s now clear she is just the same old racism in new clothes.

I think it helps that Annie believed in what her mother told her about being superhero and faith. Also I think that her mother really loved her. It’s not that different from Hughie’s betrayal. They both used her but I think they both really cared. It’s just easier to forgive Hughie because he didn’t lie to her her

Annies’s mom is a typical stage mom who lived her dreams of fame through her daughter. It’s a common trope (also - Trish’s mom on Jessica Jones, Chloe’s mom on Lucifer - even played by the same actress) and a bit overused for mother-daughter conflict. Still, there is a difference between a parent who falls short of

I’m with you on Butcher. He’s only good guy because the ones he is going against are worse but he’s an asshole and a bully and he uses people and discards them once they are no longer useful. The way he destroyed the lives of the other Boys and then just drops them once he gets what he wants shows his real nature

Yes, the relationship are front and center although I’m not sure if any of them can be really considered successful by the end of episode. Each seems a different flavour of fail.

I do feel like Frenchie hasn’t had much yet to do this season, and I think pining after Kimiko is not the best use of the character’s talents?

The episode was basically all about PR machinations and had little action but I loved it.

I didn’t mean they would get extinct instantly. Deleterious effect of low genetic diversity don’t usually show up as quickly as all the jokes about inbreeding make people believe. But it effects on population ability to survive in log term can persist for a long time.

There are still de novo mutations and threat of losing diversity in small founder populations leading to low fecundity and susceptibility to disease. Unless they were planning to use genetic engineering to fix problems in the future you need at least a few thousand for restarting a population. None of this one pair of

Of course he doesn’t really care about anyone but himself so he is not particularly picky about his victims however he built his persona around American exceptionalism and being national symbol. It’s a big part of his identity - see how he insist on “Saving America” instead of “Saving the World” even though whole

I didn’t read the book either but Christina is clearly the main antagonist for our heroes and any kind of deal with her comes with a price that Tic and Leti know is too high no matter what she promises.

Montrose only read the bylaws not the Book of Names so I don’t think it’s Darkhold level. But maybe the bylaws imprint themselves into the minds of those who read them assuming only lodge members do and they should memorise them anyway.

Yes, you are most likely right about the elevator since the tunnels still all flood with tide. And, of course, it was the way Winthrop tried to get into Titu’s vault so the shortcut past initial defences was all his doing.

The walk was pretty supernatural with the magical disappearing plank leading to the part that had elevator to Chicago. Still the tunnels themselves are probably not that far from Boston since they all got flooded with the tide (and the main vault was at a ship). It was probably the elevator that did most of the

I also know he is in the new Brave New World but that’s a TV series not a movie.

she used me as a Trojan horse to kill her father

I loved the whole Indiana Jones adventure. They’ve paid homage to many horror tropes in this series but this episode was very Goonies. It brought back all those adventure movies feeling perfectly. With only a little extra magic. Like tunnels that go all the way from Boston to Chicago in just a few steps.
