Same thing happens to me on my first few rep. You can fix it by cranking the volume of the music.

I’m happy although I believe it should not have taken this long.

I have worked so hard on getting my squat to just below parallel. I prefer to follow powerlifting programs for my strength training because I enjoy it. I’m not really training to compete but I think it would be fun to do one day. I thought I was squatting low enough until I had a powerlifting coach watch a video of my

Me personally? I squat the empty bar for a few reps, then load on a little more weight, and work my way up. Those are called warmup sets.

If it only happens on the first squat, you might be popping a bubble in your joint fluid, like when you crack your knuckles. NBD.

Do you stretch or do warm-ups before you start squatting?

Half squats seem to be just fine for the knees.

You know when you “crack” your knuckles? That pop and release sensation/sound.

If it feels fine, I wouldn’t worry about it (personally), but ask a professional if it concerns you.

Okay, so what if you don’t compete in any squat-centric sport? Here’s squatting’s dirty secret: then it doesn’t matter.

I think that depends on exactly what (if anything) is wrong with your knees, which a doctor/PT/good trainer could help you figure out.

What about if you used to squat a lot, but can’t as much anymore (work/kids/life), and now you’re older and your knees don’t work like they used to? I used to be a division one college track and field athlete, competing in the long and triple jumps. I’d like to lift more, but I have a hard time doing squats due to the

This is all above not squatting low enough. What about squatting too low? I warm-up with unweighted squats so low my butt is almost touching the floor and my upper thighs are as close to vertical as they can go. My knees are bent almost 180 degrees. I come out of the squat slowly until my knees reach 90 degrees then I

It’s difficult to see how Smiley, a very smart man who has prided himself on his critical political and social stances, would not understand or even allude to this, especially since it appears some of the women he had sexual relationships with said they made this clear to him.

I’ve been mixed on Smiley since he likened his exit from NPR, the radio service that made his entire career possible, to an escape from slavery because NPR wanted him to finish out the contract term they had paid him in advance for before he left for PBS. What’s described in this complaint just reinforces my belief

The writing on this show was so damn good. Have you listened to the podcast? Hearing from the writers was so cool and i will be on the lookout for Meghan amran and Jen Statsky’s next moves.

It’s amazing that Darcy didn’t win major awards for the Janet(s) episode.  I think she KILLED it.

All of them. Just... all of them. I’ve turned multiple people onto this show (After having been turned onto it post season 1 finale) and I’ve never had to answer the “when will it get good?” question every other show seems to have. It just starts off great and never really slows down. Even the comparative “misstep”

Says something about this show that four of the five episodes you listed were Hugo nominees with two winning.

My list would for sure include Dance Dance Resolution and Chidi’s Choice (s1 ep 10), which includes Janet & Jason’s wedding, Eleanor and Tahani both declaring their love for Chidi (well technically Tahani just told him that he loved HER), and Eleanor & Tahani bonding over hair extensions and “Deirdre & Margaret.”
