I am still using an iPad 2. Runs overdrive, I can read ePub and kindle books, and general docs or PDFs. Doesn’t do much else, but it works as a generic ebook reader.

Here’s the problem: it’s not the device, it’s the infrastructure.

It's a nice idea but what we could really use is a stripped down Android equivalent that could be mounted on earlier versions of Nook, Kindles, or such to keep them out of landfills. I don't  need to run lame G-store apps or shop Amazon on them. But running decent reading or note taking apps would be super-useful....

You’d need to boost back the color-making cells, not the norepinephrine (a fancy term for the adrenaline that’s produced by the brain). But the concept is sound!

So you’re saying if we developed a pill or shot to boost norepinephrine back into the body we’d have long flowing natural color (not gray or white) hair again? Come on companies, hurry up!

Being a kid in the 1980s was great. No one took video of all the stupid shit we did, all the things we set on fire, all the things we blew up... 

TL;DR: Stress releases norepinephrine, which triggers your color-generating cells to convert all at once, leaving behind none to color your hair in the future -- thus white hair. Pretty cool science :)

Devil’s Due is underrated, at least as a concept. my main quibble is by wussing out on the concept and making the antagonist of the episode a fraud. it would have been more interesting if Aggra (or whatever her name was) really was a 5,000 year old huckster playing a long con, but with a legitimate claim to the contrac…
