I have to go with “ Coup d’etah” as my favorite misspelling.
Don’t do it!! a) it hurt my psyche and I’m not a serious Earth, Wind, & Fire fan* and b) you’re going to end up hearing it in some dreadful commercial or in the grocery store eventually, no reason to hasten the end.
I just wanted to thank you for being the first person brave enough to submit their potato salad to The Root for comments. I wanted to do this last week but I’m not that brave.
Seriously, how do you take a song that is just so groovy it makes people dance in the grocery store and decide you want to make it guitar-plink-faux-folk? Although it has to be better than having her try anything with Boogie Wonderland.
I miss my neighbor’s Frenchie Louis- his head was enormous and when he’d run he’d get unbalanced and fall forward. He was such a good boy!
Which is why I expressly mentioned that museum and other educational groups want people involved - but think about those massive prominent public institutions- where are they in a city? Do they look accessible? And most importantly - who decides what gets to be displayed and what information is available to the casual…

I remember complaints about Apu from when he first showed up. It wasn’t that it was okay back then to make fun of people with accents - but the people who were hurt by it just weren’t considered important enough to matter. That’s pretty much the definition of racism.
I’m not going to watch “The Goonies” for the first time at age 36 and then complain that it isn’t a good movie.
I’m so happy for you and everyone else who belongs there.
